I prefer headphones and I have to turn it up to 11 so I can hear it over the engine noise

Anyone using a communication system and still able to use ear plugs? Just got a road bike and plan on using a Sena comm system.
I do. I use foam plugs when riding alone (they block out more noise - too much when you're trying to use a comm system), and with the Sena I use these (can get them on Amazon for $10-$15) with the filter out. It blocks out enough noise, but still lets you hear people talking.

I use earplugs for a couple years now. Really it's one of the best changes I've made. I feel like I'm more at peace, less chaotic, can think more vividly. Also a 2 stroke sounds cool and all, but earplugs are so much better when constantly screaming the 250 on sand tracks.

It kinda has the same effect as lowering the music volume when reading something important.

Tried ear plugs for the first time in practice this morning... Then wore them for both motos. Never going back! Legitimately made me feel more in tune with the bike.
