It's here--the weather has turned the corner in HELL
otherwise known as Arizona, as we are FINALLY below triple digits after a long HOT SUMMER.
We are usually gearing up for our annual DualSport ride--Howlin at the Moon but for different reasons it was canceled.
So we decided to carry on the tradition ourselves and turn it into a Don Lowenberg Memorial Ride for our Great Friend who we lost recently in June. Most of our crew could not commit so it was just Dano, Bill and I.
Had a great time, the weather was awesome with a FULL MOON and we even managed to get lost on our way back at NIGHT in the forest headed back to camp. GOOD TIMES!
We finally rolled in around 9:30 as my bike had a mechanical (rear brake locked up) and we had to stop and loosen the pedal adjustment bolts. This is the second time this has happened and not sure why?
There's something about camping with you're Dirt Bike Buddies that bring you back to why you ride in the first place--to have FUN!
The sign said not to feed the Bears, but this did not include "Sarge" a friendly pit bull...
I LIKE CHICKEN!

Yeah I love dirt biking camping trips!
Even getting lost in the forest at night turned out to be quite an adventure.
Neverwas, that sounds like fun where did you guys go?
The trails are up in Payson our crew of three did not know them very good and we got lost a few times but were always able to find our way back.
Is your bike trail worthy?
Check this out, great Club:

Riding Saturday!!!
Yes that is real nice went there for the first time this summer at Big Lake took the dogs but was disappointed as there was like a green slime algae around the banks of the lake.
Did not want the dogs to swim in that.
Do you camp in the Big Lake area or elsewhere and you know the area pretty good?
Yes in August there is quite a bit of rain in the White Mountains do you stay in a cabin or just camp?
Thanks
