Like someone else on this forum stated previously, Sx and Mx are one notch above lawnmower racing. That's not much of the truth being stretched either.

The top dogs are making too much and the bottom dogs are too busy dying for a dollar. They have no common ground, and no need for organization.

Limegate could’ve been the catalyst, but nobody (few) really cared they just wanted to be mad on IG and get a $7k check.

Welcome to America! This is exactly how the world is, not just supercross. I am a retired union millwright and am still a proud union member. In saying that having a riders union would not close the gap in pay. Furthermore why shouldn’t the best in the world not make as much as possible? I stopped racing because the second to the last year i raced 1983 I spent $23k racing and made $46 dollars in purse money! Just like in the real world you earn your pay!

It’s more sad to me, but your right. The fact the AMA has never complained for more purse money for the riders is a joke

How much will we as fans like a Riders Union when there’s a work stoppage and a strike?

If they strike, who are they striking against?

Is Roczen striking against Honda?

Feld is not his employer.

Who are the riders striking against?

"A" works for "B" but is striking against "C"?

How does that work?

It's even worse than that; Roczen is an independent contractor who is not an employee of American Honda, Inc. It is in his own best interests to race and do well, not to sit out.

I don't know if this is still the case, but the AMA Pro Racing rulebook used to have a clause specifically forbidding a riders' union or organization of any kind. That always struck me as curious.

The way it's written doesn't seem to impact the creation of a rider's union.
