Don’t get me wrong, I like watching these guys push the limits!!! With that being said, if these tracks keep getting more and more technical, more people are gunna be sitting out with injuries. Amartin, Bogle, Wilson and several others are already out and its the 2nd round this weekend WTF

More injuries from A1 or practicing? A1 seemed less technical than most tracks as of late.

This just in: Supercross is dangerous, and people get hurt. The bad news for you... There's going to be even more injuries throughout the year.

The speeds these guys are riding at, the horsepower of the machine and the track designs all result in more impact than the human body was designed to take when it all goes wrong. Crazy to think all the padding football and hockey players wear and these guys are basically out there with a helmet and a pair of boots on. The bikes aren't going to get slower and the tracks aren't going to get tamer so the only real hope in cutting down on injuries are going to be advances is PPE (personal protection equipment) which is difficult because you need to be light and nimble on the bike. It's a brutal sport. Our skeletons weren't designed to take 30-40 mph to 0 mph impacts.

Tracks are no more technical than they were 20 years ago. The bikes are a HELL of a lot faster tho and better suspension. Equals can push harder and hit the ground harder. Injuries have always been a problem. But in the past few years the numbers seem higher. Not sure what the answer is, but it is becoming a survival series.

I hate it for the riders, who work so hard to have a good season.
I hate it for us fans, who don't get to see their favorite rider out there.. especially those of us planning to attend races the later rounds of the series. The field will be comparatively thin come the Foxboro round..

I watched the race last week & some bloke who was No 3 fell off at 8mph & they say he's injured .
Now is it just me or with a rider having a low digit number should he not be better than the rest of them who didn't fall off ?

Watch the race from last weekend, then put an SX on from 2000. The rhythms are much much bigger, and more high speed.

I agree. But when you compare what they had to ride then with what they have to ride now, the tracks were just as technical to them if not more. The difference is in the speed they are able to go and things they can do on these awesome bikes. Bigger consequences now for sure.

Easiest doesnt mean it's safe. Speeds are way up for sure compared to 2000-05

If we look back at the mid 90's to mid 2000's (part of the 2 stroke era ) the tracks were quite a bit more technical then they are today. Was a little slower paced I think too, which helped out with less injuries. These guys today , on the bikes we have are getting some serious speed going. A human body can only take so much before things break. A1 was a very fast track.....but is usually the fastest track all year , and gradually get more technical as the year goes on.

A1 is usually tamed down compared to later in the season and the East rounds. but that little double-double before the triple was NOT a good obstacle choice. the little single before the finish in Houston is similar, hopefully nobody Wilson's on it.

If you can only hit one SX a year make it the first round. You will lose half the field by the time it gets to the end. Seems to have been this way for years

Most physical professional sports have pretty high injury rates. The NFL is losing stars every week...it’s just a part of being the best in the world and taking it to the edge
