If it was a Sunday ride home from the races it always meant dusty dirty roost filled faces and jerseys at a Taco Bell on the way home.

"If it's Sunday it must be Taco Bell".

Four friends and I hit (almost) every National Enduro in 2010. It was a tradition that we at at Taco Bell. It was so ingrained that we started calling ourselves "Team Taco Bell". Custom stickers were made with the Bell and each guys nick name under. You can see mine on my airbox behind my boot.

One guy left his phone in a Taco Bell in Tennessee after the Rad Dad and we had to double back 30 minutes to get it..... he had a quarter size Team Taco Bell sticker on his phone and let me tell you what..... those Taco Bell employees thought he was someone special. Lmao.

Some of the greatest memories I have on a bike are with Team Taco Bell.

Would you believe that's an old "Team Green" tradition?

Nowadays, my tradition is usually tacos at Wahoo's in Norco or South of Nick's in San Clemente depending on which track I was at.

Excellent thread.

Not post " race " but post ride for me when I make it to Mtn View , is hitting Calamity Janes and getting the hotwings , fries and a Vanilla milkshake! I've been doing this for 4yrs now and it never gets old. I had i about 2hrs ago on my way home from the track.

just an iced coffee and some Sabbath will do for the trip home, then whatever the wife has made for dinner here.

My crew and I used to always stop at Papa Ginos on the way home from Southwick. They had great pizza and pasta dishes as well as "grinders". (That's Yankee for subs). They serve beer too which made it fun. Can't forget about the "Foxey Lady" topless bar in Providence R.I. usually stopped there on the way home from Capeway Rovers in Middleboro, MA. But the best had to be Yokems seafood restarsaunt in Portsmouth N.H. on the way home from races in Maine. Lobsta dinner and beeyas capped off the weekend nicely.

Like 25 years ago when I raced alot it was usually Pizza Hut , now with my boys on the way home the first choice is Buffalo Wild Wings which works for me cause I am needing a tall draft.

Some caffeine and one to two jars of hot Joe T. Garcia's hot sauce and chips. There are also lots of good radio shows on Sunday evenings.

I always hit up some fast food spot post race/ride. It is kind of a tradition lol. Nothing works up an appetite like a day on the bike.

You sir, are my hero. I've been talking about doing the full nepg circuit with my dad for a handful of years now. Race the tests, trail ride with my old man the rest of the day. My growing business has kept me from having the time, but it's gonna have to happen sooner rather than later

The only post-race tradition I had was arguing with my dad all the way home about how and where I could go faster..

Old man passed away in '07, and I would give almost anything for just one more of those uncomfortable, pissed off rides home.

Dad wasn't a fan of Mexican food, and I could eat it 24/7, so that was usually my reward for riding good.

What was the name of the Mexican place on Chapman across from the hospital? Their shredded beef burrito smothered in red chile was goooooood after Saddleback chow.

Bw3. Sloppy Caribbean jerk wings and a tall beer or a few if I'm not driving. Buffalo chips and cheese. Water only if it was a real hot day and I'm just whipped and dehydrated.

Now that's an OG, calling the best restaurant/bar around by its true name....BW3! And same here, always the Caribbean Jerk....have to have some Hot as well, then wash it all down with J&C.

BITD, we used to always hit the TasteeFreeze at the bottom of the hill on Chapman coming home from Saddleback. Now it is usually Wahoos in Corona after Glen Helen, Milestone or Comp Edge/Adelanto.

I dunno. The Mango Habanero are full of flavor and spice. In fact, they're spicy twice.

One beer after a race day gets you buzzin pretty good though.

I usually stop at Whataburger or Taco Bueno after a race weekend on the way home. I don't feel like going in anywhere. Just want to get home, unloaded and kicked back on the couch to watch some tube and reflect on the weekend.

Lately, it's been Kozak's for a gyro and a beer, or La Huasteca for a taco and a beer. Or just a beer. Mostly beer.

When my son was racing there was a Friendlys restaurant on the way home from our usual track.....we had a lotta burgers, ice cream sundaes and good talks in that spot.
Really miss those times with my son now that he is grown and lives 1000 miles away on his own.......really miss it.
