Any of you guys see the Ricoo banner ad yet? That stuff even available here in the good ole' US of A?

Dagnabit if we're gonna start importing fancy euro gear, lets get some Astars stuff. And some of those funky Hebo skinny riding pants and open face helmets the trials guys seem to like so much.

Can't wait to see what the Grenade Gear haters have to say about Vital's latest ad sponsor.

I contacted them a while ago about their gear. It's a small Italian company that prides themselves on customer service and quality gear. And for this reason, you pay out the nose. I could get 3 sets of normal gear for one set of ricoo. A slightly illogical purchase for me. Looks good though. I'd love to wear it

The pants are super tight. They come with a pack of Marlboros in the back pocket.

Very stylish indeed. If you prefer Vespas on your boulevard, if you know what I mean.

And i think you do.

Pretty cool looking stuff. Clean lines similar to that of Reed's Shift gear. Their flash website is painful though!

I don't know what a Vespa is and I don't have a boulevard. So, swing 'n a miss I guess?

We're working on an article about the company.

I've asked about the Alpinestars gear in the past, and the short answer was no, they're not going to import it, because it would compete with Thor, and because Parts Unlimited also distributes the A-Stars boots.

It is very nice gear - but very expensive. Also, I know the guys at TBM (Trail Bike Monthly) magazine tried to become British importers but gave up in frustration at lack of communication from the Italians. Fabrizio Ricupito - the guy behind this stuff - is more of a designer (a good one) than a manufacturer/producer. Its a big leap from getting a few items made for sponsored riders to supplying to the U.S.- I hope he makes it.

Man, that is the coolest gear I´ve seen in a while! I hope people buy the gear, it has an old school look to it. The problem is most people want to look mainstream. If I start riding again after christmas (starting a new job after uni) I might buy this gear!

Just don't wear it after 2pm.

(Italian cappuccino reference for those who haven't been to Italy)

I wish more US companies would consider this simplistic style. Whatever happened to less is more?

Na, Thor is Parts Unlimited's in-house brand, and they're the us Alpinestars distributor, (boots and street gear). They're the 800 lb gorilla here, so no competition from the A-stars gear will be allowed through their channels, and I suspect they're wielding their influence on Astars to keep them from seeking another channel by holding the other products' distribution hostage.

Just my guess.

I noticed that gear about 2 years ago and tried to get it through dirtbikebitz or whatever it's called. They never replied to my email. I even emailed ricoo and they didn't write back. Guess I am just a ghost. That gear is really really minty.

I am going to have to start saving my hard earned cash for this gear, but I think that it is worth it. Maybe in about 6 months I'll be able to place an order!

Thanks for posting the product spotlight.

I'll be the outcast and say its ugly... but thats just my opinion. If I had the choice between Astars and this stuff, it wouldn't be much of a decision. Looks like a knockoff of the twotwo shift gear to me.. maybe im missing something though.

This stuff was out before the Shift made the TwoTwo gear.

I thought it was fugly when I first saw it but it's grown on me a bit.

I wonder if it will be at the Indy trade show?

its clearly amongst the best looking gear out there and you need to see it fleshed up for better appreciation, too dear for the states? Unlucky I say although it keeps it a bit more cult which is always good.
