It happened again today. For the second time this year, I crashed and bashed my damn ribs. I don't like bashing my ribs, it hurts for a long time. I was wearing an EVS Ballistic Jersey both times and can imagine it would be a lot worse had I not had it on.

I like the EVS Product, but I think I would like something with some more impact protection. I tried the RXR and it was great for a head on impact but was really lacking in shoulder protection. Any ideas on a "complete" package? I am going to run out of Vicodin soon if I keep bashing my damn ribs.

The littlest one told me to quit riding motorbikes.

Two years ago Labor Day weekend I went down hard took a dirt nap for 5 or so minutes and fractured 4 ribs with a fox airframe, can't imagine what would have happened without it.

I've been looking for something better as well and thought of the RXR, but the newer fox protector might be something to look at...

good luck with the ribs...

I have done more damage to my ribs with under jersey protectors. Full on chest protectors. Fox Airframe fits really well.

yes, same exact spot.
Not sure what did the damage in your crash, but after getting my elbow jammed into my ribs during a high side, I put the optional rib belt on my Flak Jak II Leatt. Not sure if its the best protection but here is a link:Rib Belt for HRP Flak Jak

Of course; you need a Flak Jak for it to work.

3 weeks ago, on a downhill sand corner clipped a tree, was slapped into the dirt like a spit wad and for the third time broke 3 ribs. Ouch. my heart goes out to everyone who has had that wonderful experience... Get well soon everybody as I am buying new rib gear as we speak.
