Damn I hate reading this kind of stuff.

Was it moto related, or virus/disease related?

Unfortunately the word is that he may have taken his own life. Such a sad sad situation. I do not have a connection to his family but this is the word I have gotten from multiple people around the moto community.

So sad. Saw that kid ride a 65 at NEMX indoor in Ohio. He was cracking the triple that I didn't think was possible for an 85 to do at the time. He hucked it every lap. Crashed one time. Got up. Dusted himself off came around very next lap and wopped it again. Kid was something amazing on a motorcycle. So sad to hear he's gone. Was he even in his 20s yet ??

He was around the same age as AC. So probably right around his 20s.

Holy shit! I rode at Daltons house for years in Riverview, FL. I moved away in 2009 and I think he quit riding sometime after that. He was incredibly fast on an 85. AC would come out and ride with him a lot and Dalton would give him fits. Zach Freeburg would ride there too and the last I check Zach's SX practice track was at Daltons house. He will be missed.

Unfortunately we deal with this type of situation in the military far too often, no use in trying to understand it because it will never make sense to those left to put the pieces back together.

With tears in my eyes I know it's hard to figure out, friends and family need to support each other as much as they can at this moment.

Rest in peace dalton, I never knew you, but you obviously meant a lot to the people around you and you will be missed.

Sigh

Mental illness takes many forms. And unfortunately it isn't always recognizable.
2 of my girls' acquaintances in high school took their lives.
The kids had loving parents who were giving them all the tools to succeed. But you can't control everything, and they never saw it coming. I interacted with one of them quite a bit since she was doing competitive volleyball with one of my kids, and I would have never thought she had such deep issues.
It is so heart breaking. And of course, the people left behind are stuck trying to put the pieces back together, second guessing everything they did, or could have done, or... when it fact it really was out of their hands.

So sorry to hear about it. My thoughts are with the family and friends.
