for the AMA outdoor series.

and just to avoid sexism, make it co-ed.

i think it would be a huge hit.

Yes, please.

Make it an age group of 14-21 or something, and A/B riders are welcome (no national level pros)

Good idea, but I doubt any girl would go for it.
Devins Idea seems best fit if we had to run with one.

I would say 6 nationals WMX 6 2-stroke OR OR OR whatever amount of WMX rounds plus 12 rounds of 125s!

I stayed for the Chicks race at the Pala National..............it was me and three other guys watchin' the race.

But, I guess MxSports, the AMA or whoever makes the call on this is gonna keep running them until somebody starts to watch.

Make it an amateur class, let it be open to the fastest amateurs out there. Last thing I want to see is the 125cc class look slower than it should look! Plus we'd get to see AC92 a few years sooner, compare lap times to the pros etc. It would kick ass and probably be the highlight of every round!

We run an Under 19s Class down here and it seems to be popular.

all makes sense to me. no one watches womens MX. no one WANTS to watch it.

but people would line the fences to see chinchilla and company t-bone each other on 125s.

Hell yeah, schoolboy class is one of the best every event we have. That's a bar bangin' class.

Then someone sponsor it with money and personel to run the race at the nationals. The women bring their own program, organization, and rules. The only thing MX Sports has to do is schedule a timeslot. So some people should quit bench racing about how great an idea it would be if someone else did all the work for what you wanna see happen and put together a package MX Sports can't ignore. Or is that too reasonable?

Now we need another complete organization, groups of sponsors and crew to have a 125 class at the nationals? And people can't figure out what the hell is wrong with this country..... What the hell is the AMA here for other than holding their hand out for more money? MX Sports isn't capable of running one more class out on the track when they currently do it anyway? Seriously, three classes in a day is too much while Chicken Licks has thirty two classes on a normal day?

Simple solution, six rounds WMA and six rounds 125cc Outdoor Nationals. Make it legit and it will come back to what it once was quickly.

As for no support for a 125 class? Maybe it's a fear of a mass defection from the ungodly expensive to compete in 250F class.....uh, I mean the $200,000.00 apiece Pro-Circuit 250F class that's keeping the 125 class out of the equation??

Then step up and get it done Newmann. Rent transponders for all the riders, pay the flaggers a little extra, hire some extra back-up scoring, setup a website for sign-up and points, and hand MX Sports a proposal. What's wrong with this country is people want stuff spoon fed to them when they cry for it. This post is basically the occupy Wall St protest moved onto an MX board.

Because that's the business that I'm in?Huh

And for what it's worth, I've already told DC what I was willing to offer up. Funny how the critics of a 125 class are becoming less and less.

The manufacturers want to sell the bikes they have and women are an untapped demographic. The same deal with the honda cup and honda's unrelenting desire to replace the 85s with 150f's.

Coombs presents the image that he loves the sport, and probably does, but he loves to line his pocket more. The women's class is boring and does not deserve top shelf treatment.

I would actually prefer a 150 class, but KTM is the only one making one.

I have no idea why people are always requesting that the Woman's class be replaced. It is usually some of the most competitive racing of the weekend at a National IMHO.

KTM, TM, Yamaha and Husqvarna currently make them in one form or another. KTM and TM are purpose built, the Husky 125 is sold with a bolt on 150 kit included with purchase and Yamaha has the GYT kit that isn't completely a bolt on(requires splitting and clearancing the cases?). I wouldn't be opposed to the 150, but from my viewpoint the 125 class deserves its place in the sport.
