I have the torqdrive (i think?)

I have had mine since my bike was new, also bought the inner basket to have the full kit.
Mine went just over 40 hours until my disks wore out, no biggie.
My friend bought the same clutch for his 450 also (with the inner basket), and after a few hours, the small rubber bushings on the backside of the basket dissolved, filling his engine with rubber, leading to oil starvation due to the oil pickup filter being jammed with rubber.
(Insert 2000$ rebuild here)

After that i found out that another rider had the same issue in the offseason. All three bikes (mine included) were -18 crf450s.

Seems that Rekluse had issues with their rubber bushings dissolving depending on what oil you are using, not sure if they have found a solution yet but i seem to be one of the luckier ones.
I replaced my dampers at 70 hours on my Rekluse core exp 3.0 and they had shrunk up a tiny bit but when you put them next to the new dampers they looked identical. I measured my plates and they were still in spec so I reused them. At about 100 hours no with no issues. Hard to believe dampers would completely dissolve after only a few hours. What kind of oil were they using? On the KTM Rekluse clutches you reuse the stock KTM dampers, is it different on a Honda? I love my Rekluse. For my technical offroad riding it makes life sooo much easier.

I have the Radius CX on my '18 YZ450F. It's the best mod I've ever put on a bike, including suspension work (granted the stock suspension on the YZs are phenomenal). I think it's the greatest mod ever invented. It's that damn amazing. If I don't want to clutch, I don't clutch. If I want to clutch for whatever reason, I can clutch. I can't kill the engine if I try. Helps my corner speed, reduced hand cramp, helps on crazy single track trails, you name it. Worth every penny. I use it for Moto and single track.

What oil does Rekluse recommend for their Radius CX clutch in 4-strokes? Anyone here know? thanks!
I’ve been racing motocross with Maxima Pro Plus + for over 30 hours on my Radius CX and I’ve never even had to adjust the clutch or seen a spec of anything in my oil filter.

I been using motul 5300 on 2017 crf450 with radius CX from new. Change every 5 hours. Done 80hrs. Never adjusted the clutch at all. CX is night and day compared to the exp3.0

Love it!

I never stall the bike anymore.

The biggest thing I've noticed about the clutch is than you don't notice it... The only difference is you can't stall the bike. Worth its weight in gold!

What oil do you use? Thanks, just curious becuz I'm putting one in my 18' 450 KTM.
The same Motorex that KTM recommends in the manual. No issues.

Just bought a Rekluse Radius CX for my 2017 CRF 450r. Bought it from a guy who owns a dealer in WA that is selling it after he has used it for 1 hour. He said he couldn't come to terms with the way the CRF handled and he bought a YZ 450 instead. He sold me the clutch since he cant put it on his new YZ and I got a good deal on it (400 off of retail.)

Anyways, I am excited to install and use it. It will be my first auto-clutch I have ever had and i have heard some awesome things about the CX. How do you guys like yours? What should I be excited for?

I've been running Rekluse clutches, auto-clutches and clutch packs since 2013.

Nothing but excellence.

Will I get used to the stiff pull? Haven't ridden it but around the yard. I've always been intrigued by the auto clutches, and I picked up morts bike which already had it in it. Never realized that the clutch pull would be do increased.

I thought the same at first. But I never noticed it after first ride. Those aren’t the springs most people run in them they sent me a pair 722 was running that are super stiff so you get even more positive engagement and longer clutch life.

Run an after market clutch lever. I run an ASV c6 and adjust the free play at the lever. I still use the clutch as normal and don't notice it being any heavier to use. I got mine for woods riding, it makes an mx bike really easy to use for that, and then you can still go blast MX tracks instead of trying to use an enduro type bike.

Other than to check free play gain, and on the starting gate I don't think I've touched my clutch lever in 6 months..

Two things:

1. Does it make a 4 stroke feel like a 2 stroke over the jumps? Jumping a 450 is way more work than a 2 stroke and can go really wrong if you are not paying attention.

2. Is there a bypass to push start the bike if needed?

I've had two 3.0 core exp. First one on my 14 yz250f and now on my 17 FX350. What is the night and day difference between the core and the cx?

1. I ride both and don't notice the difference apart from its a different bike!

2. yes you can. All Rekluse Auto Clutches can be configured to bump-start the engine in the event your normal starting system fails. However, they cannot be configured for bump-starting on the go like a standard clutch. One must stop the motorcycle and make an adjustment to bump start and then make another adjustment to continue riding once the engine fires. Bump-starting can be done to get you home

If you adjust free play at the lever its easy, just wind the adjuster , bump start , then wind back.

If I need to buy replacement torq drive clutch plate set. Does it come in a kit from rekluse or individuals. Also what is the price. Just curious if I make the jump to a rekluse
