I'm a 52 novice MXer. I traded my 17 KX450 on the 19. Love the bike but hate the pull. Had a Radius X on my 17 and loved it. Wondered if anyone has put one on their 19 KX and had some insight into install and performance. Would love some feedback before I shell out a grand on it.

Thanks

I can only imagine it being a very similar installation process and performance increase on the KX than it would be for any other dirt bike. Which is increased traction and longer life span of the actual clutch components. Which Rekluse are you looking at getting? You have so many options to choose from.

The Radius CX probably. I had tgat on my 17 kx and loved it. Was asking about the 19 KX because of the hydraulic clutch. Wanted buyer feedback on it for install advice. Also wondered if it changed the hydraulic clutch feel.

I can't speak for the KX but I had a radius cx on my 17 KTM 350. It did not seem to change the hydraulic clutch feel and it also did not provide a lighter clutch pull in my opinion. It pretty much felt like the stock clutch to be honest. The stock 350 clutch at that time had a pretty heavy pull as well.

Experience might be different for the KX...

Have had a Rekluse in my 19 for about a year now and love it! Instructions were spot on and it’s been trouble free!

Did you install the CX or the X?

The RadiusCX is the way to go! Slave cylinder install is easy. Run 6 red springs in the AUTO EXP plate. I don’t like the more “on/off” feel of the hydraulic clutch and with the auto I can adjust it to feel more like a cable. More positive feel as well over the stock clutch.

I have a 20 kx450 and I put in the rekluse radius CX clutch and seem to have a slight issue with the clutch dragging and high rev. So every time I ride the bike I have to adjust slave Cylinder adjustment screw out to illuminate the dragging and hi rev but towards the end of the ride The dragging seem to come back. Just curious if you had any input or I have had any issues like this

Sounds like you need to play with the adjustment inside the rekluse. How many hours on the rekluse and basket?

I would say I have about 16 hours on basket and about 5-6 hours on the rekluse. Not totally sure but if I remember right there is no adjustment inside The rekluse. All the adjustment is done through the slave cylinder with The Allen key

Gotta image going hydro being a huge benefit with adjustments via the slave. Wouldn’t hesitate to go CX.
