Remember when the 20" front wheel was semi-popular in SX some years ago? I remember LaRocco used it for years because he thought it made his front end feel more stable (tire was smaller and a little wider).

I wonder if Reed has even thought of this option. Not comparing MX to any sort of bicycle riding/racing, but on the leg powered machines, more front end stability comes with a wider front tire.

Thoughts?

Problem would be having tyres specifically built to suit and the testing that would be involved to develop a new 20" tyre from scratch.

Yes that's true.

Although Honda could go the other way and just throw on a 23 inch front wheel, they have already done the development for that.

Could be great, remember bigger is better, well that's what my wife say's.

If I remember correctly, The 20 tire was actually the same diameter on the outside. They went with a 20 in rim size to get a taller sidewall to have more flex in the tire to overcome the stiff frame. Does anybody else remember reading about this?
