All I can say is WTF. From the awful placement to the sub-par video/sound, this clip does not inspire me to want to buy a 360 cam.

Did you use your mouse to turn the thing around? Click on the screen and drag!

The sound isn't great, but it's gotten better that's for sure. Would be good if HD but the nature of the lens probably means the data rates would be off the charts!

Think i'd still wait for v2.0 tho. Especially when the new GoPro session looks so amazing.

Ummm, No.

Someone at Fly360 take note. wind noise isn't the best thing. The page should also tell users to use their mouse to move the POV.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. Mine locked up as soon as I tried to spin the camera around and all I got was poor audio.

Yeah, I'm able to do that, but the quality is not very good. Wind noise is tough to listen to.

Reedy was hauling the mail though!

Yeah the wind noise definitely sux–Actually I wonder how the hell you remove it, I don't own a go-pro, do they have the same thing? Maybe mic position and/or mic type I guess?

It's definitely better than the first 360 vids tho, holy hell the 450 sounded like a turbo-mini-fart!

Oh WOW! OK, now I get it Laughing

I put a bit of foam tape over the mic on my Contour HD. Did the job.

1st Go-Pro wasn't to flash either. They got a lot better by V4, no reason why these won't as well.

I'd guess given the massive field of view for them to goto HD would require storage or data processing outside the capabilities of an affordable or compact device... Agree it sux, but it's also a reason to improve and sell an upgraded model ala Apple's strategy...

Remember what the quality of the first helmet cameras was like? It was lousy, it took time for the technology to be perfected. This is a new concept, and will take a while to perfect. The picture quality is way better than those early cameras, and it will only get better. The concept is super cool.

Worked well for me, no lag and sound was better than previous videos. No problem rotating. But the video quality is so poor that it doesn't matter. Rather use my 4K solution on my GoPro and stuck in one direction than the 360° Fly cam that looks like it's filmed with an old Motorola flipflop phone.

It takes time to develop a camera. I remember the first GoPro footage I seen from SX and It was god awful and you could barely make out anything. Of course it was a live feed so I'm sure GoPro's technology wasn't on par at that time.
If I'm not mistaken it was on Josh Hill. I thought not only is the picture terrible but look how stupid that square thing looks up their on his helmet because before that we had the Bullet cameras on helmets.
Look at GoPro now though. Heck I have 3 of them.

Ok, for this video, put any gopro vids you have watched out of your mind. The purpose of this vid is showing off what they can do which others cannot. You can click on the video and swing the view fully around. Wind sound can be distracting, but turn down your speakers and play with the video. It is actually pretty freaking cool.

Ever see your favorite rider out front and wanted to see what was happening behind him? Perhaps you saw the crazy battle live, and now you can see behind the rider right before the big pass, or take out?

I see plenty of potential for this, it used to be you needed many cameras to do what this is showing. Yeah, I want to give one a try.
