Reed to ride 250 2 stroke at Monster Cup?

Kaven Benoit is the only top-level pro rider who has been by series allowed to run a 2-stroke against new similar stuff.

And he absolutely destroyed new FACTORY machinery with a stock motor (as determined by rules) over a season. That's it. Beyond that we haven't seen any real pro races head to head, ever. Would love to see even just a portion of a series matched up.

Hmmm, highest purse of the year that is sponsored by one of his major sponsors and you think Reed is going to put himself at a huge disadvantage by riding a 10 year old bike. Sounds fishy to me.
