What if reed puts that scooter on the pod? I'd say that's a good sales pitch.

Anybody that thinks a healthy Reed isn't a threat needs to rethink
how they got to that point. Yes he's old but the guy still can bring it.

The trouble is we won't see a fully healthy and fit Reed this season. That being said I hope we see him on red at Daytona.

Reed as a Honda fill has a bit of a metallic taste to it for me. Granted he'd do well (he's a legend for a reason) but his pension for blaming bikes has me wanting to see him continue to stand on his own two-two feet.

Give it to a younger guy, let them get their feet wet.

I think JMart should get one of the HRC bikes. His east coast sx is not going well. Let him ride the 450 for the rest of sx. He reminds me of Steve Lamson in that he is good at sx but not elite but is a super strong rider outdoors. I like the kid and hope he figures out sx.

Could be logical fill tho. he would be on a Honda making the most career starts of a SX pro....ever. That would be a cool ad in MXA.

Reed bring hoards of fans and the camera......he more than likely will have a minimal impact on the budget. As far as his fan entourage for each event, that will be figured out.

Would have worked for MXA a few years ago... They are KTM Action now, remember?

I just don't see it. I can't quite put my finger on it but I just don't see it happening.

Is that a photoshop? Where is the team today? No press release, and any mechanic slapping stickers on a bike before a official announcement might be out of a job. Entertaining though..

Well it will be interesting to see if CR22 does indeed line up on a HRC Honda, he very nearly rode a Honda again as a privateer before choosing the husky.

Definitely photoshopped lol. Numberplate/graphics don't even line up properly. That and I'm pretty sure the teams don't setup the rigs on Wednesday's. Certainly not to the extent with all the monitors.

Some people will believe anything.

Just like 2010 with Kawi. After that, there was no way he’d ever ride a Kawi again.Dry

I'm not saying that I'm 100% right or sure, it's only my opinion. But I'll point out that there is a difference between a factory Kawi ride and a privateer/self funded team on Kawis.

I say have JMart ride the HRC 450 in the West, and Craig rides it when the tour goes East.

How could he have burnt that bridge when he has never riden for them?

Christian Craig Set to Ride for Team Honda HRC
Health-status updates for Ken Roczen and Cole Seely

TORRANCE, Calif. (February 28, 2018) – With riders Ken Roczen and Cole Seely out of action with injuries, Team Honda HRC announces today that GEICO Honda’s Christian Craig will race a CRF450R as the factory squad’s sole rider at this weekend’s Atlanta Supercross and next week’s Daytona Supercross.

Following a promising start to the AMA Supercross season, Team Honda HRC has been plagued by injuries. Roczen suffered injuries to his right hand in San Diego after posting three podium finishes in the first five rounds. Seely was running second in the points standings when he fractured his pelvis and sacrum at last weekend’s Tampa round.

Roczen is making progress in his recovery. On Tuesday, February 27, the German visited his local physician for his first follow-up appointment since Dr. Viola performed surgery on February 16. Roczen’s stitches were removed from all five incisions, and another X-ray was taken. He is still wearing a brace and has another checkup in three weeks. Roczen is optimistic about the future and has his sights set on the start of the AMA Pro Motocross series, which begins at Hangtown on May 19.
Teammate Seely is still admitted at Tampa’s St. Joseph’s Hospital but is hoping to be released by the end of the week. At that point, he will return to his temporary home in Claremont, Florida, where he’ll remain until his follow-up appointment.

This will mark the fourth stint that Craig has served as a substitute rider for the factory squad. While pitting under the Team Honda HRC tent last year, Craig posted a pair of 11th place finishes at the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas AMA Supercross rounds, and he then finished 11th overall in the AMA Pro Motocross series. He also rode for the team at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas last October.

“I’m super excited to be riding the CRF450R for the next few weekends, but I’m also extremely bummed for Cole and Ken,” Craig said. “Cole and I are training and riding partners and kind of do everything together, so seeing him get hurt last weekend was really upsetting. I worked with the team for a couple supercross rounds last year and the entire summer, so we know each other well. I also have an idea of what settings I like on the bike. We’ll have a couple days to test before heading to Atlanta this weekend. I’m grateful for this opportunity and hoping Cole and I can get back to doing our normal routine soon.”

“With Christian already being a Honda team rider and having spent a lot of time on our bike last year, it made the most sense for him to transition into the 450 class for us,” Team Honda HRC Manager Erik Kehoe explained. “He’s got the speed and talent to deliver solid results for us, so we’re looking forward to working with him again. This is one of the many benefits to having such a great partnership with GEICO Honda, and we appreciate them allowing us to have Christian so quickly.”

Following the Daytona Supercross, Team Honda HRC will make a decision on its rider lineup for subsequent rounds.

I think this is telling, though. Sounds like there could at least be a chance.

I read that and see, “Let’s see how Jeremy is doing in two more races.“

If they were going to move J-Mart wouldn't it make sense to have a previous podium finisher on the bike for Daytona?

He has a penchant for it. Not a retirement fund for blaming bikes.
