5th in a mud race does kind of blow up the whole out of shape thing. You can second guess his pace but fitness doesn't seem to be an issue.
I picked him to win as soon as saw it was Muddy this Morning
But awsome to see 5th
He is 1 heck of a human lol
How do you like them apples He did so well...I'm truly chuffed for him. What a stud. Please fellas, if you feel the need to "qualify" or talk him down in the next few days...don't do it.
If it ain't yer's don't take it, If it ain't the truth dont say it, If it ain't right don't do it...Marcus Aurelius
Absolutely... not trying to start a shit fight with my comment either. Just don't understand how they didnt trust him when you could clearly see he was the fittest he's looked since winning in 2014
Wiley veteran mud ride by Reed.
I hope JGR can work something out to give him a ride for next year SX.
The guy is the definition of resilience. 36 years old, hasn’t raced for 3 years, comes out and stays in front of Factory KTM’s elite for most of the race and then also passes Factory Husky’s filthy Phil late in the moto. What a statement. I’ll say it again, he’s the Rossi of our sport and we gotta give credit to the legend while he’s still around.
Not a Reed fan at all, but found myself saying "Fuck yeah" on the start and was happy for him and the ride.
vomiting equals disqualification.

I don't think Reed will get his credit from most people until he's gone. Like with Dungey.
Great ride by Cheed Rad, but 3 years off is a bit of a stretch..
Whatever, it makes the story sound better, go with it.

Just stating the obvious, that he has been dirt bike racing consistently for about 20 years, and is NOT coming out of retirement for 3 years. It's a fact that he hasn't entered an AMA outdoor national, but it's not like he's coming off the couch (like Windham for instance).

Was walking back to the pits today and ran into JBone. He said It’s pretty much up to Chad for 19 SX. By the sound of things and the way he stated it, they could supply a bike etc. however the salary wouldn’t be huge.
On another note, I thought it was smart and classy of tomac to sit behind him then 2nd Moto and be content

Yeah, I noticed that too. Could have easily passed Reed and maybe Nicoletti too.
Nice show of respect and a cool sendoff.

So you're saying that was deliberate?
