If Reed was to race a supercross in the remaining rounds, and make the night show, would he get enough points to keep the #22 one more year?

Frankly, I'd much rather see Chad blast an opening ceremonies lap on his '04 YZ, rather than seeing him (probably) flounder through a heat race & LCQ on a factory KTM as an out of shape 40 year old.

Not unless he wins.

A rider needs to score 25 points in a year to keep the number. A win is 26pts and 2nd is 23pts.

Edit Most likely would if he raced the remaining 5, but that's not happening.

I'd love even more to see Chad race a round when he's 100% committed and training for it.
But, He's retired and deserves to be.
It would be great though to see him qualify for a main at 40, and check that box.
If he does it on a 2 stroke, that would be amazing, and quite an accomplishment.

He might qualify, but I respectfully disagree with the "easily" part. Have you watched any of his recent videos? That doesn't look like it's all chest protector under his shirt...

Don't take this as a hit on Chad, I love his YouTube channel, and think he's doing great as a mini dad, but he's retired, and living his life as a retired guy who's paid his dues and then some.

I think Reed has a better chance of calling the AMA and reinstating tech inspection for that 18 year old YZ250, than RedBull KTM giving him a bike. But hey, YOU NEVER KNOW.
