Anyone heard anything? Didn't see a topic about it. He seemed to be heavily favoring his right arm.

I am not a big Reed fan, but was suprised he didnt shake it off and at least give it a go for a lap or two......Thats is what prompted my post about Reed being a quitter - since Stewart was called a quitter last week after pulling out with the wrist issues, I was curious if those same folks would call Reed a quitter since he didnt get back on the bike and appears to be unimjured....Reed did the right thing...He has nothing to lose by pulling out and if his arm was feeling jacked up, a slippery rutted track isnt the place to be if your riding with a knumb arm.....Same with Stewart, if your wrist is jacked up - you dont risk fucking it up more...

He's so far out of the championship he probaby just said screw it. That track looked like a good one to tear a knee up on anyways.

At this point I just hope he's healthy at Hangtown.

He was clearly not liking his right shoulder after that crash.

I think both James and Chad have seen their days. I think Chad is over 30 years old, but both are at the time where old injuries creep up and haunt you, and new ones take much longer to recover from. Then the work to get into race shape, it takes it's toll also. As you get older, you worry more about getting injured, with family obligations and such. Also, you have earned money that allows you to live nicely, as you go on to some other career, in which you will earn some amount of money. The heart, and the mind may still be winners, but the body isn't on board. The next generation is here, younger, stronger, faster, and hungrier. I don't see either one of them being in contention for another championship. James can't hold on to the bike with his hand injuries, and with Chad, how many more times does he want to get hurt. Kdub wanted to go on, but made the right decision. He was smart.
