Looks like today he’s getting his first day of actual testing in.

So he's just been showing up at the stadium on Saturday and riding? No wonder he looks so uncomfortable.

Not sure if Chad will get the W he's looking for in 2018 but I think he will land on the podium at some point. Maybe Vegas, he'll be crushing whoops by then and he's always good on the blue groove.

I don’t really think that’s going to change anything, you don’t go from what he’s getting to podiums simply with suspension adjustments.

You're probably right, but with any luck, it'll at least keep him from being 2 laps down like he was in Phoenix. That was downright depressing, and I'm not even really a Reed fan.

Any climb in finish position for Reed is good for SX fans in general.
Just ask the lines of fans in the pits for him to sign..

Well from what I can gather he hasn't been riding through the week cause his ankle is still too sore...so he shows up to race, qualifies and gets some points...if he's testing now it's probably because he's felling better in the ankle department and is riding through the week and needs to start doing some testing to get a setup that works when he starts pushing rather than ( by his standards at least ) trail riding..when he ramps up the practicing through the week even more....he will be chasing a new setup again I suppose...
He's been more or less saying as much all along.
When I think of those surgery photos he posted and then think about how it would feel to be running main event qualifying pace on one of those tracks so soon afterwards....I cringe!
I reckon he's doing ok..

No, he wasn't supposed to put pressure on it until a week ago.

Will be interesting to watch how he progresses now knowing it’s more than just Saturday night racing.

The Chad saga is getting old. Just insert different date and brand you can use the same comments and end results.

Looks to me like he has enough respect for his sponsors to show up and represent them at the races. A lot of guys would just stay home instead.
I can respect a guy like that. Hope he's up to form by the end of the season and gets a holeshot on a technical track with gnarly whoops.

Great news for Chad and the sport as a whole, I know everyone has been waiting with bated breath to see him start battling for 15th place instead of 19th.

Im a huge Reed fan but this is what I dont get, he got hurt at the end of october so why the hell didn´t he get on a diet or something from november to the end of december and try to be at least at a good weight that would have made it easier for him to get into better racing shape faster if he knew he wouldnt get much seat time ahead of the season?

Its painful seeing him at the back of the field battling with the likes of Cunningham and ARay (no offense to this guys but he is a better rider IMO).

Tomac 2017? Probably no trip to the podium but top 10 is possible. No excuse for coming in overweight though that is all diet.
