What's everyone's thoughts. For a while I was like this is ridiculous then after watching them zoom into him I thought he looked pretty good for 2 hours riding since Las Vegas last year. If he loses 5 kg and plenty of time on the bike which he easily will I think he can top 5 again, and i mean 5th not podium but ya never know.

If he can stay positive and get healthy and some time on the bike he'll move forward.

Reed can win this year. The planets will have to align but he can.

I'm honestly impressed at what he's done. I had the same injury he had early last year but I did both my ankles. When I was as far along as reed I could barely stand let alone take a step. He's riding a 450 main in a stacked field! That's awesome!

By the time we get to Daytona he will be knocking on the door of a podium.

Nothing but respect. Stayed out of trouble and finished ahead of some fast youngsters.

15th is about what I was expecting tonight - many thought he wouldn’t finish. If his foot is really healed and it’s not going to get worse, he’s only going to improve as the series rolls on, just a question of how much he’ll improve. Bums me out that he didn’t come in healthy and with time on the bike because I still see him as a top 5-7 guy most nights with the occasional podium.

Having missed all of pre season and having not been able to do any testing on a new bike, I think he did pretty well. Also he has probably 5 years on the next oldest guy in the class, which makes it even more difficult. Coming in like this with lowered expectations might work for him, he can just work his way back into it and try and push for podiums later in the season

I was impressed! Little prep, in the main and points on the board. He can build from there!

Impressive really.. laptimes were not too bad..
Set up and fitness he will be top 5..
Think if he gets a holeshot in one of the triple crown rounds?
Came out in 1 piece at 50% at best..
Big for his sponsors and his self confidence.

Awesome result/

Spoke to someone that was near his pit after the race and they said he could not put any weight on his foot when he got back.

He has to be a litle rusty, a little unfit and a lot sore, no doubt he will get better each and every week.

Im with those who think he has top 5s and a podium still in him.

Shit he does not even have that bike sorted completley yet.

15th is great considering he was 20th at some point.
There is certainly some work to be done,
Then he should be able to show some good finishes, podiums no, top 5's, yes on a given day, top 10's should be a shoe in.
He is nearly 50 anyway,

Yeah if he's at week 10 of what should be a 12 week recovery time injury then little wonder.

I'd have thought a direct injection to help the pain might have been on the cards.

Only thing I thought was his bike looked soft... He will get better tho, 15th is a good start though considering.

Not surprising to hear that, I just really hope the foot starts to show some improvement relatively fast.

His season all depends on that, because I guarantee you he doesn’t ride this week before Houston. I’d be shocked if he does. How much progress can he make on setup and fitness if he can’t ride and train?

Once he can do that, like I said I think he’s top 5-7 with a rare podium.

Suspension must been setup prior to the holidays Laughing

And before you guys light me up, I'm joking. I know he's been unable to train much, if at all. What a badass.

He got better every time out on the track it seemed. He's obviously still very sore, he should just continue to get better. Gutsy effort from a guy with nothing left to prove.

15th is very good for him considering that he is way, way behind everyone else.

I would not be surprised at all to see him win a race when the field is thin because of injuries in the latter part of the season.

Very good and smart ride and he will certainly be towards the pointy end of the field as he gains fitness and bike time etc etc. Will be fun to watch his progress.

15th seems like a good solid finish considering what he has been through. I predict that it will be about 3 months before he is back in top form and battling to get into the top 5.

Right on Reed! I'm rooting for you!
