New interview and all, we still have not got a clear picture of what is going on. I'm feel for him! He is team owner, top rider, and needs to be politically correct for his sponsors but that interview told us nothing at all. It was like listening to Jay Carney for gods sake.

He hasnt had a good result since the start of the SX season. Currently he's 16th in the MX outdoor standings, and he's had numerous "good" starts (which havent resulted in better finishes). I think last years crash has gotten to him, or he's just not able to compete at a top5 level anymore. Excuses about injuries and illness are no longer valid imo.

And to think people say Stewart is done.. I dont know where that puts Reed.

As a fan, one can get frustrated for sure, but I'm sure he has his reasons for not spilling the beans and he's probably the master of frustration at this point.

One feels attempted to suggest him being "done", but based on how poorly he's doing, still going, the illness must be the cause for this pale version of Reed. Curious how this put the lid on really helps though? People in doubt have a tendency to make it worse?

I really hope he heals up, and that's something you can heal from? Whatever the issue seems to be (bowel?)...

Yea I recall his stomach was bad even back when he won the outdoor title in 11... sorry to hear its still ongoing!

Irritable Bowel can mess you up....You want to talk about throwing a monkey wrench in nutrition.....not to mention the random bouts of pain that splurge up out of nowhere....eek. I wouldn't wish a bowel problem on anyone.

But really, this is Reedy's cycle. He goes from Top, to Bottom, Top, to Bottom........he finds it in himself somewhere and comes back on top. All the guy needs is one confidence boost race and it lights a fire under his ass.

He cleared up everything in that interview: "you're only as good as your last finish..."

Once is hits the podium again the bandwagon will be overflowing.

Chads a great rider..all the best.

If he is sick why doesn't he save a little face and get a fill in rider while he recovers? Especially since he allegedly doesn't like the bike anyway.

Because when he came back he'd be that much further behind the pack.

Yea I'm wondering if he's just done with the Honda, looking forward to the Yamaha? Kinda like James did with the Yamaha. He was so done with it and was doing poorly towards the end til he just pulled out. I teag wonder if he's gonna be on blue next season and is just trying to get through this season to honor his contracts and sponsors. Any how, I hope he comes back strong and gets past this. I'd hate for him to go out like this. I like the guy alot.

he's always been one of my favorite riders and still is... but like someone said above, he doesn't go from points leader one season to top 15 the next just because he doesn't like the bike. something is going on

I'm on the bandwagon. Always have been always will be. Chad is a champion and he will get it straightened out.

Dude is sick. Bottom line.

Reed's always been pretty vocal that he would just quit if he didn't think he could be competitive anymore.

Reedy is fine. jeez people. I still think it was bullshit of honda to not give deano a ride though. That would be crazy if Reed went back to yamaha, got another rider under his tent (or two), and came out swinging next year.

I have a feeling that it's easier to say that than to do it. And I'm by no means saying he doesn't have a shot at winning anymore. But sometimes I think these guys are just happy on a dirt bike and will roll around in a measly (sarcasm) 10th place and enjoy it rather than watch from the outside looking in.

As a yamaha fan, I sure hope he's on yamaha and that's what is holding him back. It would be a bummer for another year to be wasted by the EB virus but he certainly has eluded to it. If he goes to yamaha, I wonder if Yamaha will give him two factory backs. Maybe even let him expand to the 250 class. That way everyone can say two two is running two riders in two different classes.

Lots of little things coming together for him right now and hurting his results. I saw him at daytona really try to make it happen. He was on a mission and giving it 100%.......One thing for sure, he is not done and neither is james.....I don't think either of them can run with the ryans, but they are still top 5 material. My heart sinks to see some of these second and third tier riders pass him, but I can't imagine what that does to him......

If he is on the outs with honda, he already has a deal with yamaha and this is the "lame duck" period......

The biggest complaint I have about Chad is his constant crying.

I'm never surprised to see the same character trait running rampant within his fan-base.
