Past weekend I heard the inevitable and pain in the rear of my linkage On the 01 YZ125. Started to take her apart and then realized that not positive in name but the closer of the two bolts on the linkage was frozen stuck whatever you wanna call it and would not come out. Tried to bang it out with a regular hammer and air hammer no movement tried a compressed air socket nothing. What is my next move basically lmk what you guys have done trying to have her ready for a trip in the dunes next weekend. Thank you

Put on "Nut Buster" type fluid and try going slightly tighter at first with your air socket, then go left. If that doesn't work get the torch out.

Yep, go ahead and buy a replacement bolt, but use some heat on it and hammer harder. Eventually it will come out.

Use deep creep. Use sockets and a bench vise to push the bushingd out. Heat helps. The way i do it is apply a lot of pressure on the vice, and then use a propane torch to heat the aluminum. Youll hear the bushing “pop” out of the linkage. Its similar to pressing ball joints on a car.

Restored an 04 YZ125 recently. The bench vise helped with all of my swingarm, and linkage rebuilds.

Brake fluid also penetrates well. Same problem on a yz 250. I couldn’t hit it any harder. Let it sit and be patient

Okay guys here’s the next hiccup in my quest to get this bitch out they discontinued the bolt for the 01. So my best guess is shove what fits correctly in the hole given? That’s what she said

50/50 mix of acetone and ATF works better than anything mentioned above. It needs to soak over night though.
