Redbull KTM new stuff - mec 17

10/13/2017 7:17pm Edited Date/Time 10/14/2017 2:27pm
Its always interesting to see new stuff on the new bikes.

KTM`s latest rider mr Tickle have some new stuff i could see compared to Dungeys bike for sx 16-17.

Perhaps something coming out with the 18,5 FE edition atleast that cylinder maybe not the rear works shock.

New rear shock body & cylinder

18.5 FE is meant to have a new chassis, shock and plastics. Engine is meant to stay the same.
Obv a factory bike will be much different.

Yeah perhaps but i still think we might see that cylinder. There is still a production rule. And ofc the factory bikes are different. Cant wait til the new chassi also.

That is the new frame. Look at the exhaust mount. No production rule at MEC.

Unfortunately no, but you’ll probably see it by the first GP of 2018.

I guess its also fair to say Kawasaki are testing 2019s? And Suzuki are probably using a completely new 2019 engine? Whats the point in this post

The engine mount and exhaust mount are also separated on the new bike as well where as on Dungeys bike the exhaust attaches to the engine mount. This should have a pretty big effect on the flex and handling characteristics of the bike as it appears to be either titanium or aluminum where Dungeys is carbon fiber. This type of engine mount is not available on the 2018 450sxf oem so I wonder if it will be on the 2019 or the FE. Somebody had noticed this I believe on a mxgp husky spy photo so I wonder what the deal is with this.

Don't think herlings is testing much at the moment.... He has just had some hardware removed from his hand and he's probably having a little winter stop right now

It’s been said multiple times that the new frame can accommodate the current body work.....

This is 100% the 18 FE frame.

Very interested to see what the bike and Baker do for Tickle.

He's always solid, but every year after his 1st or 2nd podium appearance he gets injured. Be interesting after what Osborne did last year.

Is Anderson racing? I'm pretty sure he has a Husky FE ready to roll too.....................

It is the new frame, it's been spotted multiple times. Production units are done. They will be available in December.

In the outdoors some of the PC team ran a tire that looked a lot like a Bridgestone/mx3s hybrid
This one looks a little different than that but the siping is similar
