Yeap. That was a bummer. Wind didn't seem bad but the random gusts didn't suit well with the riders. At least they announced that everyone is getting their tickets refunded. Wonder if they will be back at GH again...?

The riders must have noticed the wind real bad when they were testing the jumps in opening ceremonies. Backflips and random gusts of wind aren't a good combination.

Good call I think. Like some of you are saying that wind could have aided mistakes to happen. The stuff they do is dangerous enough as it is.

I usually don't watch freestyle. But GH is different. Because of the natural terrain they utilize there makes the event way better in my opinion. It comes off a lot like a free ride event vs ramp ramp ramp freestyle. Bummer it is cancelled. Been waiting since last year.

why wouldn't they just postpone till next weekend seems like such a waste all the work they done organizing it

Hey Scottie craiger here ... I'm in Barcelona for next couple weeks and witnessed Alonso winning today in front of his home crowd, fricken amazing. My first F1 race. Loudest thing I've ever heard. X-games Barcelona coming up this week so we are really hoping Cody can bag his first win here! Cheers brother

I saw Schumacher and Barichello go 1-2 at Monza. The whole crowd poured onto the front straight after the race......we could learn something from the Euros on how to celebrate.

There were some pissed off fans there yesterday. First they announce, they are starting early, that everyone need to get to their seats. After everyone is there, they say they were going to wait for the wind to die down, Hour and a half later, they said the same thing.. More time goes by, and then they have Renner say the wind is to much, even cancelled.

I live two exits away, so it wasn't a big deal to me, but some of those fans came from other countries. Ouch!

Heres the thing, it was windy last year when they did it, and anyone who knows anything about where Glen Helen is located, knows its almost always windy there.

Guessing Red Bull took a huge hit in the pocket book yesterday. Track looked bad ass. and speaking of ass, my gawd, the place was just crawling with it.

How can people be pissed off at the weather? Crazy.
+1. Risk their lives (even more) for the audiences entertainment. Yeah... that makes sense.

Where's Mr. Info to defend that? What a horribly ran event.
Don't tell people it's starting early and to get to your seats only to say, "actually it's starting late"..
Nobody is upset that it was canceled for safety, but don't lie to people and have them running all around.
