Straight Rhythm. Streamed it live back when it was on. Pretty good. Decided I would turn it on as background noise tonight via the Red Bull app and cast it to my tv. I wasn't paying attention but kept hearing a foreign sound while they were racing and decided to watch a little closer. I assume this is what aired on TV a couple weeks ago and I gotta say it's pretty effin' cheesy for them to do it. I'm only calling it out in hopes that they knock that shit off right away. Check it out, only need to watch about 15 minutes to point it out yourself. Started to notice it the first 1/8th of each race but you can clearly throughout as the event goes on. On landings, right before the finish and even when Roczen locks up the rear after the finish line. Why the hell?

Might help if you said what you were hearing. "Foreign sound" and "it" doesn't help much. Was it 2-stroke sound? Was it a revving motor while the wheels were locked up? UFO?

I heard it also and thought the exact same....the fake noise when they were landing off of the jumps was horrible.

Perhaps they have mics on near the landings of those jumps? Surely nobody though piping that noise in would be a good idea?

Watch a couple of the finish line passes, sounds like they added an f1 passing by... pretty terrible, haha.

They definitely added truck suspension sounds on the landings and the crowd cheers are fake as well. you know what makes me laugh, why is it that every time someone adds cheering into something whether it be a video or a video game, it sounds exactly the same?

Well that was...odd. It sounds like bikes coming together in MX vs. ATV Reflex. It definitely wasn't there in the live broadcast.

Sounds like they dubbed over some AMA tech inspection sound testing noises.

It's not bad enough that the bikes sound like shit these days and tv crews feel compelled to add F1 soundtracks to the races, we must also make them sound like they are falling apart on jumps. No doubt it just adds a new level of stupid to our little sport. Hard to imagine the mentality of the people behind that curtain...

The broadcast had some of the live background ambient audio mixed in with the commentary.
It sounds like they removed the ambient sound at points and had to put in "sound effects" to fill the dead silence without the ambient track audio.

That's my theory anyway....

So terrible. I feel like even when I watch NFL now there is some CGI that has been added to the stadium that doesn't seem like it would normally be there. Fireworks after a win and just little things like that.

Nothing is what it seems anymore.

If they were adding sounds in, why not some missile attacks the guys had to dodge!

Well it definitely sounds like they dubbed sounds in... Which is lame, but I suppose there is a small chance that the odd sounds are just from having strange mic placements all across the track as I would assume that audio and video is recorded separately.

This landing sounds are dubbed. The crowd noise are samples that are cut up and flipped and repeated towards the end of each run.

Guys....listen between 11:22 and 11:26......I dang near fell out of my chair laughing. I don't remember hearing any of that when I watched it before. That's about as cheesy as it gets. Didn't know Nico Rosburg was racing RBSR haha.
