This weekend at the track I ate shit good.. I need some answers..

I have a 19 CRF450r and i notice when i use a lot of Engine braking it flames out (shuts off). This weekend it happened at a very inopportune time. Is this normal or am I just trying to engine brake to much? And I don't believe I ever touched the back brake by the way.

Just curious if anybody else had this happen.. This is my first fuel injected bike and I dont remember having this issue on previous bikes.

I can’t verify the new generation Honda’s. But my 12 450 had that issue. Best way to alleviate the concern is to get your ECU remapped and or get a vortex

I was riding up north at about 7000ft and noticed my 20' 450xcf was doing the same thing into second gear corners, I turned up the idle speed a smidge and it went away.

My 17 is the first fi Honda I've ever ridden with no flameout issues.

IMO 99% of flame outs are caused by an idle that's set to low.
