Donated.

Paralysis has to be one of a motocrossers biggest fears, I know it certainly is for me. Praying for this gentleman’s recovery and his family’s ability to adapt to this new way of life.

This sport is just fucking brutal, whether you’re a professional or a weekend warrior.

It isn't easy being paralyzed from moto. I understand the road he has ahead, I have had a ton of complications from my injury in March of 2020. Heres to hoping him and his family get through it like I have with my fiance. It is a huge change, not only physically, but mentally you need to be tough.

Been thinking about Scott and his family an awful lot the last 2 weeks. I was there at GH and raced that weekend and was saddened to hear about the extent of his injuries. It's a real gut check when you are about to line up, but most of us here know that already. Thanks to both alphado and moto67e for posting the link to Scott's GoFundMe page.

I'm fortunate to have a very supportive wife and though I've been hurt more than few times riding MX over the years, my wife's support never wavered nor has my love for the sport. Anyone reading this has probably pondered the risks of riding and racing motocross more than once, and today is no different.

When I was starting out riding MX at the ripe, old age of 32, I remember hearing phrases like, "If you're not crashing, you're not riding fast enough" and, "Crashing is learning," and I've had my share of "lessons", but nothing like this. I aim to never crash, but it still happens. And I'm not even fast.

Keep riding, keep racing, keep training, keep learning, and most of all, keep safe, my Moto brothers. And if you can, send Scott and his family some support... you never know when you'll need some yourself. Midpack.

I didn’t know, sorry to hear about your injury. They’re all brutal but that’s definitely the one we all think about the most. Can’t imagine what one goes through after a spinal injury, mentally and physically.

Donated earlier this afternoon. Wishing him the best. Always hate hearing about a fellow rider suffering an injury like that.

Donated. I really hope Scott can recover and avoid paralysis.

Not sure if it’s appropriate to say, but shoutout to Matthes for his donation - as well as everyone else who gave.
