Not mine but wow this thing looks Rad I would be there with the cash if I could I would Love to have this thing. I had to Sell my CR125 and I haven't been able to replace it yet.
I hope I can find one this nice when I am able to buy!

Yeah, but if you don't have time to remove the pipe and Scotch-brite it after every ride, it's a better real-world option.

Its not like that at all, just spray it with some wd40 after your done washing and its fine, my old 2 stroke can sit for 6 months easily and ive never had a rusty pipe

I had PC pipes on all my CR 125's. After you dialed in the INSANE jetting Honda always jacked up by... swapping needles, swapping slides, get a new air filter, replaced reeds, got a new main and pilot jets...those bikes fkn ripped. You have no clue how easy to ride 4 strokes are these days out of the box and RTR. BITD if you rode a new bike stock without checking things...sometimes it was almost friggin dangerous.

You can dip the whole bike in cerakote and it won't be as good as a stock yz125, let alone bikes that are continually developed. Sorry

What's that got to do with anything about this thread.......No one should ever buy a Honda because Yamaha's are out there too? Maybe the guy wants a Honda and not a Yamaha?? So I should not buy a 1984 KX 125 that I've been looking at because it isn't as good a YZ 125? .......I doubt whoever buys that bike will take it out and flog it like James Stewart did back in the day......needing everything that little bike can give.....probably just wants to have a Honda in his shed for a while and is looking forward to riding it....

The mud stains from the front wheel always made mine look too grungy for my tastes. By the time I got the bike home to wash it, the metal was discolored. Plus, when WD-40 cooks on the pipe it turns it brown.
I sure do like the look of an unpainted pipe better though.

Geographic location often plays a part as a deciding factor on whether or not to use a raw or plated pipe. When I lived in California I always used a raw PC pipe. It was much drier. Here in the Pacific Northwest, I chose a plated pipe because of all the rain and mud. Just the moisture in the air here would make a raw pipe rust. A plated pipe may not be as nice as a raw pipe but, it sure looks better then a rusted pipe.

Side note: You know I have a couple of STIC TC125s. I alos have a 96 CR125/144 that I put one in. The power is pretty close to the TC's now.. Not quite as smooth as I need to adjust PV governor but overall one of the fastest 125's we have ridden. My kids love it as great power and handles better than most modern 125's......Honda was pretty far ahead of it's time on the last steel framed CR's.......
