The new Racerx Shane Watts podcast is a "must listen" for anyone who follows off road. Very entertaining - plus it points out how he shaped his image to be financially successful after racing.

It was awesome. Watts was certainly loved or hated with no middle ground. Hope they do a part two podcast. Best line of the episode: "Usually I wont remember a fan's story, but I'll go along with it because I'm not going to tarnish a memory."

I had it on while multitasking on some other things, but could tell it would be worth listening to again. Watts is a real dude

Before Reedy entered the world stage, I was cheering for this guy!! Although I wasn't in to enduro, they still covered all of Shane's accomplishments in the main dirt bike mag in Australia, ADB. I was pretty proud of this fellow Aussie giving it to all the big names on his 125.

In my view he was the best all-round rider in the late '90's and early 2000's.

First guy to win the ISDE outright on a 125. WEC champion. Won GNCC title by taking out wins on six different KTM's in one year.

When anyone says that they lost because their competitors were on bigger capacity bikes i say look up shane watts. I always wonder what could have been with him if he never lost the drive. But after listening to that i also wonder what could have been if he trained and ate right. When he was at his best he was untouchable.

The only thing that stopped him was a trashed wrist.
