My topic headline says it all about what Matthes and JT had to say about the track. Funny because I thought it was one of the most entertaining races of the year. The sand section was great to watch and fun to watch guys struggle in it.

I loved it. Like you said the sand was a challenge and it proved to be a good part of the race. There was a few rhythm options and it kept everyone from doing the same jump combos. I hope we get more tracks like that

Yea I don't get why they were complaining about the track so much. It wasn't great but the sand section was easily the best part.

Also don't like how they talk about AC's rookie year being so much better than Carmichael's. AC had 6 seasons in the 250 class before moving up, RC had 2... Not exactly comparing apples to apples there. By the time RC was Adam's age he had already dethroned McGrath and was working on his 3rd 450 SX title!

Why do people care so much about the opinion of people who didn't race on the track

Track seemed very good... that sand caught a lot of high-end riders a bit off guard.... the whoops were short, but no joke .... AC was jumping onto the tabletop in the qual... start wasn't terrible.....

I agree, I thought it was right inline with the previous 6 good tracks we've seen this year. A different flavor but still stirring up the status quo for the top guys. Anything that slows speeds and challenges these guys is awesome in my book.

His comment is relevant. On top of that, why are there so many people getting upset and getting their feelings hurt on this board these days when people state different opinions?

Was there in person. Could hardly see the sand section.

Didn’t see much action would just hear it,

I must have saw a different race than some of you guys, besides the sand it seemed to me like everyone was doing the exact same combos and it was follow the leader.

I thought the sand straightaway in 2018 was awesome. Making it an option lane in 2020 was not as good, and IMO the sand turn was a bit too much. The penalty to going to the inside was that if you got roosted you might roll into a deep spot and just come to a stop. This was especially true in the 250 race.

I would have preferred a non-option sand section into a banked berm 180, that would have been great for passing.

I agree 100%. Seems like some people can't handle opposing opinions without calling people stupid or making insulting comments. We seem to have lost the art of debate. Not just on Vital, it seems to be a trend everywhere. Just google the cancel culture. I've learned over the years, sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and there's no right or wrong.

Btw, The track wasn't totally awesome but I liked the sand section a lot!

Except for sand and whoop section, every rhythm section was done by everyone at roughly the same speed. But saw on live timing the top 10 were close but camera crew was focused on Eli’s victory laps.

Glad you think it's "entertaining" and "fun to watch guys struggle...", they were all out there putting their lives on the line for your enjoyment. You know what would be fun? Watching you try to go through that sand! That would be really fun! Track was dumb, sand sucked. Go ride the dunes if you want sand.

Maybe because those people who didn’t race, talked with a bunch of guys who did race the track.

I didn't mind the layout, but the last two tracks compared to the start of the year appear to be using less dirt and the transitions/pitch/height all seem to have mellowed out again.

Looked a bit old-school at the start of the year, going back to 2015 stuff now.

First round of the east coast tracks are usually easier for the first round.
