I know many will like it but I like 20 min. + 1 better than this triple crown format .

Interesting. I'm not a huge fan of the superpole thing, but whatever. Also, I'm with ATKpilot about the 20+1 (or 20 laps) format being better than a 3-race final. I feel like Supercross should have a clear-cut winner who beat everybody in one race.

I'm interested in trying something different. However, it isn't THAT different. Basically if we just added a superpole session in supercross we would basically be on the same page as WSX. Regardless, I hope it works out.

Triple crown format is ass cheeks. Excitement tapers off throughout the night. Going to be a lot of empty seats in main event 3 when a rider has already went 1-1.

Wish we had Superpole in the SX.. if you have ever seen one in person, they are Edge of your seat insane!

Triple crown format is a mistake . It doesn’t work . More often than not it makes the last race of the night a snooze fest .

I don't really like the triple crown thing, would much prefer two proper length races.

Still looking forward to round 1, probably my only chance to see Tomac kick ass in person instead of on screen, but this was a weird choice and it feels like it's different for the sake of being different.

How do you propose they run an LCQ when all the riders participating in the Series are qualified for every main event?

What's the thinking with alternates? It's Supercross, so inevitably at least a few will get injured or be forced to sit out. As it is, the rosters expect every rider to compete in every race.

In US SX, filling the gate is a non-issue because there are privateers, but not so with WSX.

I suppose fill-ins will be announced following each round...? Will teams already have alternates ready to go? Or will it be an MXGP situation where sometimes the gate looks pretty empty, especially with fly-away rounds...?

Teams are required to enter each round with four riders or face a penalty up to $100,000.

Tons of useless starts that count for nothing, the riders are gonna love this.

Superpole is very good. Triple crown format less good, not a fan of that at all.

Sooo, what happens if someone gets hurt, or should I say "when" someone gets hurt? I guess they will be filling out teams with B-listers.

Since B-listers and C-listers are already there, I guess you mean D-listers?

It wouldn't be much more senseless than having qualifying and heats that let everybody go into the mains.

I like the triple crown format, but the last race needs to be weighted more heavily in the scoring to prevent "Mathcross".

The heat races seem too low stakes in this format to be interesting, but we'll see how it goes.

5 minute break in between each final race? That sounds pretty cool, I wonder if that will actually happen.

These guys are crazy to claim that the top guys will be on the track longer than traditional supercross. They are doing laps, not timed races. There's a reason we went to timed races in the states rather than laps.

Even if they have average lap times of 50 seconds, that's not enough to have them out there longer than the US series. What are the typical lap times for AUS-X when say Anderson or Webb went over there?

This "world championship" looks like its level of significance's gonna be somewhere in between the Harlem Globe Trotters and Holiday on Ice.

A heat to determine the order for the superpole? Seriously?

Very vet friendly to allow two 5 minute breaks in the middle of the race. Just enough time for a beer and a smoke.

Bike issues can come up with the 3 back to back races. Dean Wilson had clutch issues in Nz with this format and no time to fix them , I wonder if they will allow 2 bikes to be teched , or if the teams will have a spare on hand

I agree.
Seen some great exciting battles in the LCQ's over the years.

Would be neat if they took 1 rider less out of the heats and had a head to head race for the LCQ.
The amount of riders obviously wouldn't be the same in the main( 21 riders).Basically transfer both 11th place riders in the heat to the LCQ for a head to head 2 lap race. I always liked those bracket head to head style short races - even if it was just 1 lap or so. 2 riders having the track to themselves can get interesting and it can be real close racing.

Yeah, the guys who don't qualify for the superpole through the heats should go to a LCQ to determine their position behind the gate in the three mains instead of it being directly assigned accordingly to the heat results, that totally makes sense.
