What do you all do to build yours?
Outside of my built 250 engine(havent done any trans treatments yet), brembo front master cylinder w 280mm(2017 YZ250f) kit.. Do people just chase weight?
debating of ordering up Ti Axles, Sprocket bolts, pinch bolts etc..
Purpose of all this is pure fun.. no intentions of racing.. just want to ride a badass bike.

You can have all the power in the world, but if it’s kicking you all over the place and won’t settle into corners, it makes riding a bit more challenging.
Seems to me this is all personal preference based, but you could always look into spring rates for your weight and ability, possible revalve, pull rods, triple clamps, engine mounts.
Best of luck to ya mate!
all i have is a $3000 built engine.. no valves or anything crazy with a vortex ecu
revalved stock forks and Shock with a PC Link Arm
I also Ride every week... I just dont race because i am the sole provider in my home, i cant afford to take those risks. But i ride with friends who do race and thats how i am able to determine my speed.
I dont understand why most of the people come in here to cry about their financial situation..im just looking to build a badass bike why not make it as good as it can be??
race bike.... Haha. im over here barely changing my filter.
Costed me 5K$
I’ve never been that much confident on a bike .. if you prefer keep spending 9000$ in a stock bike that you don’t like, you should try a bike with a A Kit you’ll regret to spend 9K every year !!
I wouldn't wish this upon anybody. Just go buy one.
If it is just for fun, then a little 125 yz 06 (or 139, 144, 250, 300) for some laps to keep building technique & fitness ? Probably not now as the market seems high but maybe in autumn/winter so very soon there will be some assets to put in the garage ; for 2k it may be more expensive than initially planned upfront but if you ride quite a lot that will also save you a bit to maintain the 250f (to delay a bit the next rebuild).
