Remember when RC made the transition to the 250's? I thought the big bikes were going to eat that kid alive.

Would be silly not to. I think he'd have a good shot to win.

I hope they give official word more than a day or so before the race. I might try to make it out there if he does.

^^ thats a good point, that could shake the points up a little more...

im not sure if he would be on a full factory kawi or a pro circuit tuned machine...even if he doesnt ride it and depending on what happens in st. louis, seattle could be huge for the future champ...

RV's already proven he can beat the big guys outdoors. SX on a 450? He's got the skills...whether he can ride the 450 efficiently is the question. I think he'd have a better shot if he was on his 250.

oh no doubt as it doesnt wear ya out as fast but if he can pull an rc and check way out then cruise then he possibly could win it but if CR is healthy it would be a really good race for that top spot....

I keep hearing he's been practicing on a 450 for a few weeks now. I though he was just test riding some of the other teams bikes before he signed anything. It would be cool to see him on a PC 450 this year. Maybe it might be the start of the factorys fading away.

Unless it's a special PC 450, he's phucked for sure. He's not really that good, 3rd to 5th place guy at best without PC......

When he moves up next year and doesn't have the PC team to boost him up to superhuman levels, he'll be back to his amateur levels of chasing the likes of Georke, etc.

As fast as the 250F riders are these days, I'm not sure that going to the 450 class is really "moving up". I like Langston a lot, but I'm pretty sure that both Townley and Villopoto could have handed him his ass in a paper bag last year.

I do feel it is a uphill battle against a PC 250 F, although it appears Honda has their factory 250 F tuned to perfection this year.

Man I would love to see them all race on the same bike, just once

On DMXS RV made it sound like he's already been riding the bike he'll be on next year. He kept saying "the 450" and not "a 450". I have a feeling he'll be on factory green next year.

I've seen him on a 450 @ the Oatfield and he absolutely killed it. Of course this was only against local pros, but he checked out in a hurry.

arent ALL mitch payton tuned PC bikes "Special"? im sure if hes riding a PC bike MP will do everything he can to get it on the podium AGAINST the factory bikes... now that would be making a statement...
