Too funny
Brownie almost ran him down with almost 50 years, and beat Wil Hahn.
That guy is seriously a legend

Mike Brown is a badass, side note on the badass thing...... Anyone ever watch "2 be continued" on you tube, grandpa Villopotto was cracking me up last night when I watched it working out. I see now where RV gets it from....

sidenote: to you GoPro bros (i don't have one) is there a way to test the camera POV beforehand? Staring at Villo's front fender was frustrating

I have no clue how RV set up his camera angle so horribly.

I'm still shocked at the speeds Mike Brown had on that 125. Even if he was 22 years old....he would be considered super fast. But being in his late 40's...... the word incredible doesn't even do it justice!

RV was skulling a rack of Coors Light when he set it up, so in that aspect he didn't do too bad

A can of Coors always helps me build up the nerve to do the big doubles.

After you do it a hundred times - you just grab it from the bag, turn it on, and clip it on the helmet. Throw helmet on head and go ride. At least that's what I did this weekend and ruined all my footage....lol

Doesn't someone else usually set the GoPros up anyway?

I'm not sure. I thought I heard from some riders just handing them the files after the races on USB sticks. I know for sure I heard at least one racer tell someone they would send them their GoPro footage if they wanted it. But I would assume GoPro hooks them up with a cam when they do the official footage for the POV track vids.

25+ is an open skill level class. Brown is eligible as an ex-pro, to ride 25+ and 40+, the other age groups are typically non-pro. So he can't line up for 30+ or 45+..

GoPro app on your phone connects to the camera, shows you what the camera is seeing

I'm waiting for Brown to turn 50. Can you imagine him winning the 25+, 40+, and 50+ all by 20+ seconds per moto? Kinda crazy

Can only race 2 classes at Loretta's but I get your point. A 50+ year old winning the 25+ and 40+ classes would be pretty cool to see.

I forgot about the fact that you can only do 2 classes. 25+ and 50+ needs to be his goal. That would be pretty crazy. and I will have to line up against the guy again to get there. Hard not to be impressed while I chase him. LOL

Him being older and once he hits 50 his goal should still be racing the younger age classes to have the best challenge.

I don't know how I would feel as a 25+ year old being beaten by a guy twice my age. I mean on one hand it's cool because it's Mike Brown and you got to race a legend but on the other hand it's a bit depressing since you're half his age which technically means you should have more stamina/endurance.

There's no denying he's a bad ass on a dirt bike. That's for sure.

Looking forward to seeing him race at Farleigh, luckily he wont be in 50+ class, so i will only have Kurt Nichol and Doug Dubach to worry about,

Word has it that he brought his bike in a Ridgeline and his sprocket bolts were loose.

Theres Alot of hard core old blokes were I live. Dean Ferris trainer here on the Gold Coast Australia is a freak at his age still, paddling MTB running iron man etc still giving young guys a dead set run for their money and the old road racer Troy Bayliss is fit as Fuvbvk on a MTB and looks like he's getting his groove back on the tarmac as well. There's heaps of new training techniques as you get older. For eg.short period Super high intensity efforts instead of long period threshold. Age is no. these days if you do your homework on your training.

Who knows. But since Mike still races all the time and get's paid for it......my money would be on Mike. I'm a huge Dowd fan too. Huge respect to both those guys.

I was never a hardcore RV fan and I can remember hating my 125 because everyone else had 250Fs but that was pretty awesome to watch. RV's comments in the end are great as well.

Brownie was so dang fast there last year but those bikes he was riding seemed like turds. They looked trick as hell in the pits but not once they got on the track.
