All the pros right now are focused on Supercross so it's just the usual Glen Helen crowds.

He didnt quit racing , he quit racing in the USA. If he thinks practicing on tracks like that will get him ready for GP's he is wrong...

My lad was there that day , and from his Go Pro , there was hardly a bump on the track.

Desalle has been out riding there too but he doesnt turn up till the end of the day when the track is at it worst... pretty much all the euro pro's are the same.

Wow....excuse me while I pick up my jaw off the floor. I hope Transworld didn't speed that up some, they are known for doing that. I am a little confused as to why he is training over here on groomed tracks, instead of riding those shitty sand tracks over there though.

Jeezus.. he probably couldn't go full speed even to be safe around the slower traffic. I feel a little bad for Tony...

RV should be riding some POS sand corner track in the sand dunes outside of Yucca Valley...there is (well, was) a BRUTAL one out there...bottomless sand, and punishing whoops all the way around it with some elevation change. I was pretty sure I saw a factory Yamaha cargo van parked out there summer of 2000/2001 getting ready for southwick...but I never got close enough to see who the riders were...

Yeah, cause he doesnt know how to ride a rough track right?

Just burning laps, I'm sure he'll ride plenty in Europe soon enough

Guys, look at the position of his feet (tip) on the pegs and the small amount of time he has his legs out... Very cool and MX 101... Take notes!

It always looked to me like he's pinching the cases with his toes

Ya he was riding that day too Jamma, there was another vid somewhere, I'm just pulling from IG so people are ok with his training schedule. Good thing too. RV was worried.

RV is tenacity personified. Have you ever seen anybody who backs corners up like him, what I mean is he gets his braking done on the way in and then suddenly grabs a huge handful at turn in and just f-ckin explodes out of corners.

Because the one day your buddy was there and it wasn't rough like GH normally is it means RV doesn't practice in rough stuff right?

Get the hell outta here with your objectivity, Crush. You've been here long enough to know that you're a "Euro"...you're only supposed to like GPs, you're not supposed to be a fan of the sport as a whole.

I was at Glen Helen the day this was filmed, I'm on that video actually, and RV was seriously fast, but he's a pro, he should be, he was no faster than i expected he would as someone who is coming to Europe with serious intentions of being world champ. I think to say that Glen Helen was a motorway is a massive exaggeration, it wasn't at all, and RV is much better off practicing there than he is at Milestone, by the end of the day Glen Helen was seriously rough. But RV wasn't there at the end of the day, he came early and got his motos in, and a couple of hours afterwards when most of the local pros and amateurs had called it a day because of how rough and hot it was, Desalle turned up and started putting motos in, same at Cahuilla Creek the day before, Desalle was going round for what seemed like hours and was virtually the last guy to leave. RV is an extremely talented rider and it was a pleasure to ride with him, but its pretty easy for him to look fast when he's riding on a smoothish track with a bunch of amateurs. Wait till he does a few races in Europe, judge him then. If he smokes everyone, fair enough, but don't draw to many conclusions from vids like this
