Back around 1990? I think I was down at Carlsbad Raceway watching a pro race that RJ won easily. The interesting part was after the Pro race they had a "mechanic" race! There was this one "mechanic" that although he road really really goony he was amazingly fast. He had a visor-less helmet, Hawaiian t-shirt, shorts ect. I told the friend I was with "this guy should race Pro". He came up to the finish line, stopped and let everyone by. It was RJ.
I saw RJ at a the OC swap meet a couple years ago and I should have asked him about it. It was really cool.
