Godspeed Bruce Brown....................the world is a lot richer for your creative contributions!

Any time I see the title On Any Sunday, the theme song is the first thing that pops into my head. That opening scene perfectly captured what it was like to live in Southern California in the 70's.

RIP Bruce Brown
Yep.I was 9 yrs old and just got a Honda SL70 after yrs of badgering my dad for a min bike. Already saw my first motocross race and spent everyday at the local empty lots riding bicycles just like the opening scenes.
When we went to the theatre and saw Mert Lawill pitch his harley sideways at 100 mph on the big screen my mind was blown. The sounds, narration, the sound track, the riders. Mert, Dick Mann, Malcom, these guys were real life gladiators. I don't think young people can understand the impact that movie at that time had.

. Even at 79, his passion never waned for our sport. Bruce Brown worked on Dana's Dust 2 Glory (recently released) Thankyou for bringing dirtbikes to the mainstream in the 70's.

Did they make a second Dust 2 Glory, or did they do a re-release of the original?

I was 8 in 71 watched it. Was already around a lot of bikes and racing. Just stirred the pot a bit more.
Thank you Mr Brown.

First watched it in 1985, when video players started coming around I was 20 years old. Made up for it since then probably watch On Any Sunday about 4 times a year.
Have the songs on my music list. Wife and son love it.
I wonder what “the pig farmer from Murrieta” is doing now?

My big bro shared Endless Summer 2 with our family, and we've watched it countless times. I don't even surf, but his story telling was so captivating!

Ive only seen snippets from On Any Sunday. The Steve Mcqueen part..

My experience with OAS is different. I was a kid with an XR75 and my neighborhood was full of other kids with bikes. We rode as much as we could and it was a magical time. I never saw On Any Sunday until many years later, but it perfectly brings me back to that time. RIP Bruce Brown, and thank you

God Speed Mr. Brown. And my heart felt condolences to his family.

I saw On Any Sunday in a theatre in Clovis, NM in 1972 at the ripe old age of 17. I remember it like yesterday. Already had my second Bultaco in the garage then and I've not stopped riding motorcycles since.

Incredible memories of those times when the movie appeared, because it was very difficult to see images of Motocross in those days, it was seen very little on TV, only when the GP of Spain we saw Motocross, Only a little specialized press dealt with Motocross and this movie was, wow great, and more for me that I was still riding a BMX bike at that time.
An unforgettable movie, thank you Bruce!

As someone who, although young, has seen the movie multiple times since before I can remember, I love the movie because it isn't just riding, it's about the culture. For his work to be relevant 40+ years later is amazing and he will be missed.
