My daughters 2018 KTM EXCF was stolen from Extra Space Storage in Murrieta Ca, Off of Winchester. I am offering a $1,000.00 reward for it being returned, and the dudes name. By the way dick, you left your ladder and bolt cutters in the unit with your prints on them.
Thanks, Hoots

Because the bike is street legal, maybe someone will try to register it and the DMV will catch it as a stolen VIN?

No, it's up to the bike owner. Sucks anyway.

Have to pay for insurance in az. Then it's covered.

I know that place, they have security cams and code access right?
Sorry to hear, 10,000.00 bike stolen would make me want to kill someone. I’ll keep my eyes peeled around town...

Did she not have insurance? Surely the deductible is less than $1000 and if it's a 2018 there would be little or no depreciation.

Thanks everyone,
There is some hood rat there who will roll over. Yes there is cameras, hopefully a good Deputy took the report and follows up. The tweeker climbed over the wall from the next unit, broke the lock from the inside and rolled it out. He left his bolt cutters and ladder. He had to have seen the bike there before. Thanks again.

Inside job ? How would a casual passerby notice a motorcycle in a storage unit .

Interesting theory. Often the managers live on site, So I guess you never know who sees the bike go in and out.

It sure is lucky that the scumbag knew exactly what unit to rob and how to break the slide up door lock...

So sorry to hear about that. My daughter lives off that exit and we head out that way quite often. Probably in some crack heads shed so not sure if it will be out in public.

I’ve been shopping for a 500 EXC. How do you like those models on the street? I know they will be great off-road but wondering if they r too light for much highway use. Trying to figure out if the 500 or 690 is the way to go

Good luck on the bike search. Seems to me the storage place needs to help out with the camera surveillance

Nothing worse than a spun out tweeker. The laws in Ca are so bad, you write them a ticket now. Thats it. A day in court, fines they dont pay. Americas war on drugs, seems to be working. Legalize all of it, give the fucken tweekers dope and maybe they wouldn't take everyons shit.

The bike was awesome, fun to ride. Not as much on the bottom end as the race bike, but fun to ride. Yes the are reviewing the footage. The 1,000 bucks is from me. I want to know who the bottom feeder is. I am sure he has already taken all he could from his family.

Sorry to hear this, I know that gutting feeling all too well, I had 3 bike's and a ton of tool's stolen from storage....and I'm 99.9 % sure it was an inside gig. I have a good vibe that you'll get the bike back, I just hope the scumbag thief get's torturous withdrawals behind four very small walls.

Yea, still can’t prove he stole the bike if there’s no bike at his house. You ain’t ever gettin that thing back man. Sorry ! If you do get it back you won’t want it back.

Thrives don’t tell on each other either. Especially if a wheelie boy pack was behind the theft.

There are still some nice people in the world. Im not sure what you do for a living, but tweekers will ALWAYS roll for money or dope. I never thought I would get the bike back in one piece, and I dont care if he admits it. Im sure there are a lot of people on this site that have been ripped off by a tweeker and everyone of them wants a little piece of justice.

There's a spot off of Scott Road in Menifee just west of the 215 freeway that local bikes would end up pretty regularly a couple years back. If I remember correctly, you could see it from the road. It's some beat up old place, it looks abandoned but there used to be a few tweakers that lived/squatted there. May be worth a drive to scan the area, I wish I had a cross street to give you but maybe someone reading this will know the place I'm talking about. A couple guys had to go there themselves to get their bikes back, the cops don't do anything except tell you to fill out a police report. Also check Quail Valley, these tweakers will put a for sale sign on a bike on the side of the road. Seen some weird shit out there before. Regardless, I'll be on the lookout.

Thanks Bro, FriendzCC.
Thanks Vital Crew. Like I said, ALWAYS.
16 units robbed last year, stay away from Extra Space Storage.
Good people in the MX community. Always.

I wonder if the bike is still on site? Moved to another unit until the heat is off?
