RC's 2001 Honda debut at the US OPEN question

I heard David Bailey mention (after Art's comment that the Honda looked extremely low) that he heard they ''cut the front end down'' as well at the rear and seat.

Now i knew about the seat being shaved but what exactly did they cut down? the actual forks. Sorry if this sounds dumb but it's gotten me thinking. I know they cut the strut on the sub frame on the back right?

I think on the rear they shortened the shaft. We did that on the 09 Honda's as well since they sat so high. Front IDK, interested as well.
