RC first SX was at the LA coliseum in 1997. He got his feet wet doing a west coast race prior to him racing the east coast rounds. I was there.

He smoked RR17 for a heat win, then cruised to mid pack finished in the main, throwing whips over the triple. The Dairy Queen eatin Florida kid was just having fun.

Same race that deegan won the main.

Amazing opportunity to be around the best must have helped, sure it was a tough pill to swallow for RC we know how much he hates to lose, but gracious

Ricky is a Fox athlete, through and through. He wore them as an amateur and wanted to continue doing so. When he got signed to a deal on Splitfire Kawasaki, he was required to wear AXO... and did, for the first motos. He would then show up in moto 2 wearing Fox. AXO refused to pay him bonuses, if I remember correctly, and he didn't care. That's loyalty.
By the time he was on a 250 (2T,) he was back in Fox, full-time.

PS- He has also been an Oakley athlete as long as I can remember.

He actually only pulled the FOX thing his last year ('99) when he was already on the Factory 250 for Kawi but dropped down for the outdoors.

Amazing that he owned a race team sponsored by Dodge. Yet, Chevy came out with a RC signature truck at same time.

Yeah I don’t remember him wearing Axo in moto 1 & Fox in moto 2 either.

Like you say for 1999 he was Fox, which included the strange sight of seeing fox gear on a PC KX125.

What's wrong with Mitch building RC a bike? And what do Tomac and AC have to do with it, other than having the same color plastic? There's a reason there are no Kawasaki logos on the bike, gear or helmet.
