At the risk of getting blown out I'm kinda fed up with the ads in my paper Racerx magazine. I'm just wondering how other people feel about it. I used to buy all the magazines as a a kid and still have most of them. I decided I wanted to resubscribe about a year ago as I like having the paper copies. The articles are good for the most part and the photos are great. I especially like the posters that come with most issues. David Bailey and Ron Lechien on the back was pretty awesome.
This comes to my point, the February edition is pretty ridiculous. I did a quick count and out of 190 pages there's only 72 pages of actual content. Additionally there is no POSTER! Instead I literally got the entire KTM power parts catalogue - all 45 pages. I understand that the advertisers have their place and thats where the revenue comes from. However, I also pay for the content. At this point I feel like the balance is out of whack. If the magazine continues this way I will probably not resubscribe.

It sucks but thats the truth.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a magazines main source of revenue lies with its advertisers not it's subscribers. I'll still continue to subscribe, no biggie!
Back in the 80’s and 90,s MXA for example would have the full catalogs from JT, FOX etc in their issues.
especially the December issue.
I have the January 2007 issue of Racer X, sitting in front of me, it’s 308 pages, 159 pages are advertisements.
They keep the magazines going.
I’m not complaining.
The KTM insert it the latest RacerX was great, but then I race KTM’s.

As a side note he stays busy enjoying the crossword puzzle as we drive to the track, and learns some interesting moto facts.
