Questions for Colorado SX

Will the mile high thin air play a factor in the 450 and 250 west championships?

What will the dirt be like? Colorado hasn't had an SX race that needed that much dirt since 1996. They always had arenacross races and dirt always rutted up and broke down pretty easy.

The weather? It has been pretty nice out here the last couple weeks after the cyclone snow storm but we also have had a record high snow pack that we haven't seen in years.

Will the fans show up? In 1996 the SX race didn't have the best turn out and it happened to be the final race of the year cause the Vegas race got canceled the next weekend ( no one knew it would be the final race of the year at the time). MC won the 250 title and K DUB 125 west.

I'm from Indiana and i'll be showing up. I heard they have the best brownie recipe too. I'll be the judge of that though.

I’m driving out from MN to do some MTB. I’ll catch the SX while I’m there. Looking forward to it.

Reason it had low turn out was it wasn't even on the schedule and it was a last minute replacement for the Salt Lake SX that canceled, It didn't help that McGrath lost his first race of the season the week before so the perfect season was not going to happen either. Then add in that they had to make the track around the football field and a big wind storm that blew through but the BBQ and pit party was a lot of fun after the race.

I'm catching the light rail too...can't wait. Hope the weather holds up.....right now, my weather app says 50% chance of snow! Too early to predict, especially in Denver, but wonder if there has ever been a Supercross in the snow before? That may shake up the points....

Would Tomac have the settings/shape upper hand up there? He'd probably be fired-up ala Detroit and gives us a good show but who knows.

The track will be hardpack for sure (unless it rains/snows, it is Denver), so no on the settings. 24 hours at altitude isn't a problem for just about anyone in a 20 minute main, so probably not on the fitness thing either.

Yep snowed in Salt lake but didn't make a difference. I am taking the light rail also, way better than the parking nightmare. Cool

Hell we could have a blizzard for practice and 70s and sunny by the time the qualifiers start. When you live in Colorado you always bring a jacket and sunscreen because you can need them both. Cool

Have not had to the chance to look but what's the pit area and parking situation going to be like? Grew up in Arlington so I've always gone to Arlington and Houston sx. They always had good pit areas and parking with decent tail gating. Living in the Colorado springs now I haven't had the chance to make a sx in the last few years. I'll be ready for the bipolar Colorado weather.

I have no idea about the pit area layout, but looking at the track map it appears that it will be on the South side.

On another note, snow is OUT of the forecast!
