Question for four stroke fans!!!

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 8:06pm
Every time someone starts a two stroke forum it seems like someone who is anti two
stroke post something ridiculous and turns the post into a heated argument against
two stroke and four stroke fans. My question is why do you four stroke fans
dislike two strokes that much? Why cant you guys leave us alone with our
simple two stroke bikes. Also why are you guys so afraid of equal cc in
The supercross and motocross. If your four strokes are so advanced then you
shouldnt be afraid of losing to a dirt bike that hasnt changed in 5 years.
I have nothing against four strokes, "That saying goes different strokes for
different folks." Id like an honest answer from all the four stroke riders out
there, and please dont post any negative comments on here.

My question is why would you start a thread that will result in exactly what you are complaining about? It goes both ways. 2 stroke lovers give the 4 stroke guys a hard time and vice versa. Let it go.

I started it so i could try and get some honest answers from all the four stroke riders.
Most posts i see they never give honest answers to why they dont want equal cc in motocross and supercross. Your probably right that it i will most likely turn into a four stroke vs. two stroke post, but it is worth a try.

i grew up racing two strokes throughout the 90s.. was anti fourstroke when they started appearing.. rode a honda 450 in 2003 and have never bought another 2 stroke.. Although they still smell great and sound awesome. I have hopped on a few and have a blast but still prefer a 4 stroke. I doubt that 4 stroke riders hate 2 strokes they are probably against all the threads.. I also think with the advanced 250f's the 2 strokes should be allowed to race against them.

I don't have anything against smokers. I just happened to buy a thumper for my first bike last year, since that what my buddy has and I knew he could help me learn how to work on it. I simply didn't know anybody that rode two strokes.

I don't give a crap about the bikes really. I own and ride a 450 4-stroke and a 250 2-stroke. My beef is with the clowns who bring the topic into every thread on this board then make new ones on-top of that. There's a massive gap between constructively making a point and the stuff that gets posted around here about 2-strokes. The topic is beaten to death, DC gets it. The only people who don't (and of course the ones who actually matter, imagine that) are the OEMs. I've seen 1 guy make a semi-well written petition to the AMA to allow over-bored 2-strokes to race at the pro level. That's the ONE constructive thing I've seen this whole group do. No letters to OEMs, no push to the dealers, just a bunch of half-thought out rants on a message board.

I think 2 strokes are great bikes, and I wish they were raced in the pro series, but I definitely prefer riding a 4 stroke and I'll keep riding them until the 2 strokes come back.
