Question for everyone

I am working on setting up my blog so I can have a central place to link to all the videos and pics I have. That way fellow moto heads can find stuff easily. Anyway I was also thinking about possibly setting up a page for old bike tests and shootouts. It is damn near impossible to find that stuff online and I thought it would be cool to make a resource so someone looking for a 1991 125 shootout or some old bike test could find it.

What do you guys think?

Tblazier the stuff you do is awesome. I always wished I kept all my old MXA's for the all the shootouts, tech tips and product tests. Your archive is more then amazing and I think having all that where it can be easily located would be a great asset.

That would be a excellent resource. I read every bike test just for enjoyment purposes. If you are going to use anything from TWMX please group those seperate since there is no reason to read that every bike is great in every aspect every year.
Can't thank you enough for your hard work and time. Has a fan ever been elected for the motocross hall of fame?

What about actual user tests?

I know the mags do their thing, but what about the novice guys on Vital. See what they think of the new bikes and how they compare. For the normal dude looking to buy a bike.

That's gonna be awesome. When are you planning to start it? There aren't any good reference sites that I know of. Even Motorcycle-USA and MXA are very limited, There couldn't be a better time since more and more people are buying used bikes these days.

I hate to sound like a wet blanket, but have you thought about what the authors of those tests are going to say/do if they see their content posted on your blog? ie; MXA, Dirt Bike and Dirt Rider.. I was lucky to get a bunch of backstock Dirt Riders 10 years ago (new mags from the 80s) but eventually sold my collection off.

I did think of that and I that certainly might make a difference. I was planing to only put up tests from the 80's and 90's nothing newer. Even so it could of course be an issue. I am just looking to provide a resource for people that is not currently available. If MXA Dirt Bike or anyone else has a problem with it I would love to hear from them about it before i actually do anything.

Magazine employee articles, stories, tests, etc are property of the publisher that I know of. Same goes with newspapers.

Maybe FTE, Matthes know if this would be an infringement of copyright law.
