When you are spectating at a race of the class that you would normally ride, do you watch and think "wow, those dudes look slow?"
Or, do you think "THOSE DUDES ARE FLYING! "?
Just curious about how you view others in your class, when you are not out there with them.
Back when I was racing, sometimes I would think that they looked embarrassingly slow, but other times, I would be spectating and think "there is no way that I ride that fast".

Man, I was thinking just thing the other day. Saw a dude that I see in my class and I
was thinking "Guy is slow, I have him covered." Jumped in behind him and I could
not hang AT ALL!
It looks so much easier from outside looking in.

Last Triathlon I did, an old lady passed me on the run, and said innocently “oh, have you done your knee?”
To be fair, I’m much better at swimming and cycling, than running. (And I’m pretty sure I could have beaten her in fist fight, if I could have caught her.....j
It's the same for me. I'm 62 and have been doing moto for many years. A few weeks ago a buddy of mine followed me for a lap with his GoPro. I know I'm getting slower as I get older (probably a good thing).
But when I saw the video I thought. "I suck!". I felt like I was riding pretty well, but in the video I looked like crap . lol
