Even with 27 pages of this thread, I swear I still felt a bit of a shock actually seeing RV on the line with the GP guys!!

No excuses here, but do the different riding styles of GP riders as opposed to AMA make the ruts form differently? Everything on that track looked like long flowing berms, seems like we have more lines here where guys square things up.

I don't think anyone should pop the champagne yet...RV has shown over the past eight years that he is a quick study.

Are you sure they show all motos? I don't get this to line up, I think they're showing MXGP race 1 delayed and both MXGP+MX2 race 2 LIVE. Not sure if you guys in Australia have the same broadcast as we do on Eurosport in Europe. Just a heads up.

Looks like we get the same. 30 minute show followed by 1hr live.

I'm not a big RV fan, but crap some of the big haters are really dumb. I found this funny, the last 2 posts are HOF worthy.. clearly someone doesn't understand what the guy that said "so dope" was saying... lmao

Give the guy a break...he doesn't mike and so many do. I suppose I don't Mike, either. Then again, who would, Mike?

I absolutely agree, First off she was a bit uninformed, but she really got into the sport.

She's funny, and quite the 'boof head' - I don't mean unattractive, just a goof ball, and not afraid to be seen to be having fun.

And, , since we are males with a tendency to 'objectify' young ladies, she was a non bolt on, she's a natural young lady - I hope she resists the temptation to get worked on :

Good to hear she's still in amongst bikes

AC:s glowing boots haha

Those are some trick boots for sure. When Tony first came up my impression was that he was an arrogant punk but now I really respect the guy. He grew up and became a good Rep for the sport....and he's one bad mofo on a dirt bike.

I think there is only 5, maybe 7 that can win. RV AC CD GP JV MN and Strijbos! 5 is more likely but what the hell do I know! Let the racing begin! Don't think RV would go all out in a race that doesn't score any points but, then again what do i know!
Strijbos suffers from inflammation on his wrist, he's not 100%.

I'm just saying Americans said Villopoto will win by 30 seconds + and now he comes 8th and the excuses come out. I'm sure he will be fine tomorrow but Americans deserve everything they will get if Villopoto doesn't even top 5 tomorrow
I think the Americans are right !

Villopoto was 10 Seconds faster at the Qualifying Race!

Best Lap Time

Ryan Villopoto - 1:52.902
Kiara Fontanesi - 2:02.224

Yep, RV looked a bit rusty there.

He was tentative going into that first corner off the start. His corner speed was a bit off the first half of the race. After that he seemed to pick up the pace in the corners and started to make some moves to make positions back up. Also looked like if a guy just hugged the insides all the way around the track that it was extremely difficult to pass without making some ballsout pass around the outside.

Is the GP going to be in the dark too?

Yes Qatar has always been raced in the night with lights.
