DAVEY, I READ IN AN 09 INTERVIEW THAT YOU WERE WORKING ON GETTING AN AMA NATIONAL ON THE SCHEDULE IN THE SOUTHEAST AS EARLY AS 2010...THAT DIDNT WORK OUT, BUT ARE THERE ANY PLANS IN THE WORKS??? BEFORE FREESTONE, OUR CLOSEST OUTDOOR SINCE GATORBACK GOT THE AX WAS BUDDS CREEK WHICH IS 22HR DRIVE...EVEN FREESTONE IS LIKE 15 HR...I CAN HIT 4 OR 5 SUPERCROSSES EACH YEAR IN EASY DRIVING DISTANCE (ATL, DYTNA, JAX, HOU, N.O.)BUT, WE ARE JONES'N FOR A NATIONAL!!!!

I agree though it's been a long while since you guys have had a National MX race in the SE and it needs to happen. I have family out there that's always whining. . It's weird considering Florida is a close 2nd to Cal for hot spots for MX.

Have you been to Red Bud, Millville, Budds Creek, Washougal, or Freestone, for that matter?
Those folks know how to create crowd-friendly infrastructure.
2) 22 hrs Pensacola to Budds? You do know you don't have to stop at EVERY truck stop and gas station on the way, right? 15 via Mapquest.
3) 15 hrs Pensacola to Freestone? See above comment. 11 hrs via Mapquest.
4) Freestone is 90 minutes further from Pensacola than Houston. 8.5 vs 11.
People need to invest a little time, to see quality motocross! Add in a couple of days there for the amateur program and it really makes it worthwhile.
2. You get the point, in the southeast you can hit many sx events each year, but it is much more difficult to attend an outdoor.
3. You must bored out of your mind to be mapquesting drive times.
*To clarify...It is a long ass drive to get to an AMA outdoor national event from where i live. I never drove to Budd's, i was guestimating...I never drove to Freestone, i was just guessing. In the future I will refer to mapquest before quoting drive times to anywhere.
