When it's over it's over time to move on.

Someone needs to stop him before he seriously hurts himself or someone else.

I don't think it's "hate" dude was once badass but as of lately he is just bad. I like what he's all about but I just don't even care about him or his results anymore

Such a bummer to see him go out so soon. As a fan that loves to watch the dude ride I hope he can return soon and stay healthy. You gotta wonder where his confidence is at and what his thought process is at this point. Not to say it will happen again, but how many more "chances" is he willing to take?

Sadly James ship has sailed!, he needs to consider retirement before he doesn't get back up from one of his many crashes...................
Perhaps now he is regulated on the amount of Adderall he can take, he is no longer able to maintain concentration to race at championship winning level?

Hope he makes the right decision!

Im calling it now: AC separation, his left shoulder was seriously slumped down. If it were just out of socket they would of put it back in on the side of the track. He's done for the year/ever #stampit

He'll be ready for A1.

You are not allowed to comment on the reality of James Stewart on Vital. I said he did not look "fit" enough at the moment to race with the young guns yesterday and my post was deleted. Very interesting....well GuyB, what happened to James today? Did you hear them talk about James not being in shape on the pre-show today?

Come back when you are in shape and can hang onto the bike James, everyone wants to see you race, not crash...

He needs to go back home, get into shape & then come back no less than 100%, otherwise it may be smart to clock out for good IMHO.

Seems to me he was trying to do exactly what a lot of people here suggested--just finish! He was running around in 14th, but without any TV time, did anyone see if he was hanging it out, or was he trying to ride in control?

I would hate for anyone to get seriously hurt trying to extend the twilight years of their career.

Give it up, go home, enjoy the fruits of your labour, live the life as a past champion.

I honestly didn't think he would be out halfway through the first moto of the year.
You are one of the few at this point, after his sx season you could see today's result coming from a mile away. . .

I'm gutted for the guy, he was a legend. I'm glad he didn't retire at his peak like Carmichael and villipoto but he deserved to tapper off more like reed has than the way he has fallen off the cliff
5/21/2016 4:00pm
I don't think that he's championship worthy anymore obviously but I think he might be able to finish up top 5 in the championship this year. That's all depending on how bad his shoulder is, I haven't heard anything

Anyone have a clip / know when they showed it in the race. Missed it and can't seem to skim through to find it.

I don't really want him to quit/retire, but it honestly pains me to see him keep getting hurt and know that he must just be hating life right now. I hope he makes the right decision for himself. I could see him starting up a riding school, and coaching other riders.

well said. this lame large portion of the mx community has "willed" his demise for a decade. and no it's not about race. it's just some stick in their crawl that he's that good. the guy is young. he's the best skill level that ever raced, sorry. but as i said, you've basically willed it. still don't get your issue, like EK298 above (thanks EK298 for having some guts) -- the rest are wankers, and that's a fact.

Stew fans are like fans of FOX NEWS or MSNBC, they will believe what they want regardless of facts. Most of the people on this thread are worried about him or are very melancholy on the situation yet you call them haters and wankers, not acknowledge that they have a point. Have fun living your life with your head in the sand...
