It's straight up bullshit. People wonder why no new sponsors want to invest in the sport? Well, there's your reason. Not sure who was running the broadcast today, but from the qualifying being screwed up on the app to the shoddy camerawork, NBC's been blowing it this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if they actually did interview him but the camera crew missed it and/or they ended the broadcast before the interview. Wouldn't be the only highlight that we missed today

If you want to get an interview after moto 2 you usually have to finish on the overall podium or win the moto. It was a good ride but Max did neither.

He wasn't on the overall podium therefore no interview, you'd think they might make an exception though. Agree with the camerawork not being great this week again, production team needs to step it up because this is shit we expect from SX not outdoors.

The interviewed Mcelrath after moto 2 and he wasn’t on the box overall. Just 3rd In the 2nd moto.

It,s a shame for the smaller teams and their Sponsors.
Is this Twisted Tea's first effort in MX? I'd not heard of them until I saw them backing HEP/Max.

I could be wrong, but I thought they were the same crew

normally they don't interview the second and third place moto finishers unless they are running under their allotted TV time.

They did it a few times last year at the end of the motos when they had time to fill.

If it was Roczen, guaranteed he would've been interviewed.

With it being on NBC, it’s all a matter of time. Had they had a few minutes to spare, I’m sure he would have gotten an interview in. There was a Supercross this year where they interviewed several riders because they had extra time to do so.

I take it that you never tuned into the annual, but now defunct, “Redneck Games”?

Man you don’t know what you were missing!

It's a shame they dont interview more riders. Ascot use to have a guy in the pits that would interview drivers right after their race, Sometimes 1st place but maybe 2nd, 3rd, or 10th. whoever had an "exciting" race or a good story like Max would have been..it was raw, heat of the moment, passion of racing interviews, and people loved it. I really dont think the people producing these events understand racing.....

Yup, and imagine how the guy who wrote the check to sponsor HEP felt when he got excited thinking that they would get an interview and shoutout on national TV, but nope. Wtf?

Oh and did you hear the interviewer call Zach Osbourne “Jason” at first? WoohooDizzy

They brought him up on the podium like they were going to do one, but later told him that he could go. My guess is that it was a time issue. Might've been a good thing. Max does not give short answers. Wink

If you want to hear from him pre-race, you can check out this...

If Anstie has had the success Roczen has had in the United States, guaranteed he would have been interviewed. With that said, I was looking forward to hearing him on the podium. I was also looking forward to seeing the season point standings after the 450 moto, and I did not see them.

Yep a private team makes a podium in a moto and gets the shaft. Exactly why this sport will always be a niche sport and never main stream. We won't go over allotted time like Nascar. If I was twisted tea/ anstie or pipes I'd be pissed

Yea the no Max interview was a joke, If I was the team I'd be blowing up!!!

Secondly, it's the only new fresh face interview I waited around for, people want to see what Max is doing & he is well-spoken to boot.

Podium deserves an interview no matter what.

No new sponsors like Twisted Tea, the company they mentioned 100 times in the broadcast? lol

I to waited to hear that important interview. I say important because it was a chance for the sport to showcase a few new sponsors and faces with a story the core Moto fan wanted to hear. He led just about the entire race, arguably would have won had the lapper incident not happen. He actually had the same thing happen in 09 when he almost won San Diego supercross. Big bummer for him. Still a great race. Bike looked good.

There’s a photo of him doing a podium interview on Instagram, like GuyB said it was probably just a timing issue.

Shame for the team, hopefully they get another chance. An overall podium is possible if a few things go their way and Max can get back to his best.

The NBC broadcast is way behind MXGP, and it's funny because MXGP I swear has been the exact same platform since 2014.

I laugh at the excuses and outright ignorance our media has for the sub par offering we have here.

Totally agree the difference in production is massive, looks very amateur for 2020

Big up to Max !! hell of a ride after that issue in the first Moto, must have been in a lot of pain trying to get going again!
