I like the drop round. This is my 1st year playing and I didn't fully understand how the points worked week 1 and got smoked.

I played last season and thought it was ok, but to be competitive you really need to put a lot of time into getting the right data.
Also be available to get live qualifying lap times, keep up with injuries etc...which for most isn't an issue but I'm in a different time zone and usually out riding or doing something other than sitting in front of the tube, computer or my phone on Saturdays.

Last week was a low-scoring week, and I did fairly well. So from that standpoint I'm disappointed.

But if there was website problems, having a drop round is the best way to resolve it.

It also takes luck that you don't pick a guy who crashes out. :/

Depending how many people didnt get scored?
If it was just a few than they should have just been refunded.
If it was a lot of people than why is it just coming out now ?

I was one of the guys affected, I made a change and swapped out Savagty for Jason Anderson and it didn’t save. I was pretty pissed at the time. Obviously I was prepared to live with it as I remember them saying no dropped round but this is good news to me.

I still managed to score a 177 which wasn’t too bad considering I only had seven guys in the mains.

I do not understand the complaining. There were some people that got a 0 last week, even though they submitted picks. They now essentially do not "get" the drop round that everyone else who scored points does going forward. Those people have now used their mulligan. The alternative would be to give those people "average score" points, but who would be OK with that?

I'm betting that a person's opinion of the drop round will change week to week as the season goes on.Evil

I usually make my pre picks when it goes live during the week, just in case something gets screwy on the weekends. Then after quali's I adjust my picks as desired. Week 1, I must have changed my roster 15 times, and for some reason, I I think it scored my earlier picks and didn't save my final lineup. I also read some people made picks, and they didn't save, so I've been taking pictures of my roster just incase something happens. I don't know that that will work or be sufficient, but it's a piece of mind. Steve seems like a reasonable dude, and isn't going to let anyone get screwed which I appreciate.

Last year I was glad they dropped a round, because I didn't have a clue how fantasy worked and scored like 50 points my first round. Season 2, I don't need a drop, as I don't have an excuse, but if it's what needs to happen to calm the masses, run it.

For me its just a different strategy, if there is a drop Round or not, so with thinking there wasnt one i pick guys that only had a top probably thats less
Meaning there would be no possibility of getting that 300 score
But picking a safe team.

Nobody else knew there was going to be a drop round either. It's the same for everyone.
